7.8% Unemployment: Real or Bogus?; "Real"Unemployment Rate Still At 15%; 67.2 Viewed the Debate; Romney Pulls Ahead in VA & Ohio; #Presstitutes Reaction To Debate

"The only people who thought Obama won {the debate} were the replacement refs."...Leno

  • Unemployment fell to 7.8%. That's a good headline number. Dems and the administration will glom on to his numbers to say there is a recovery taking place (hard to make that case when the GDP dropped to 1.2% last quarter revised down from a pathetic 2%).  Conservatives are already questioning the validity of the numbers. The fact is there is some truth to both of those observations. So let's take a hard look at these numbers and some facts.

Romney Deflates Obama Aggressively With Impressive Command, Confidence, Style & Grace; The Left Are Asking Their Doctors For More Meds Today

"Under the president's policies, middle income Americans have been buried." Romney borrowing Biden's phrase last night.

  • Pundits, on both the Left and Right, are dissecting last night's debate. My take?  More American people now know why we're in trouble with this president and this administration. It was Romney who looked presidential. Romney was in command during the entire debate. His command of data and numbers was extraordinary. And he did it with aggressive grace and confidence. He didn't come off "mean."  On the other hand, Pres. Obama looked like a fish that jumped out of its tank floundering on the wet kitchen floor. Obama looked detached and unprepared. He offered nothing new.
  • This was not a debate between a president and governor. This was a debate between a community organizer and a man who should be president. As Jon Podhretz wrote this morning while  pointing out how well Romney handled facts and numbers, he was able to rebut "every jab the president threw at him."

Romney to Obama Tonight: You've Failed; Slo Joe Biden Admits Middle Class Buried Last 4 Yrs.; Women: Your "Lady Parts" Depend On Obama; For Obama, Katrina Response Was All About Racism; Whistle Blower Letter Says U.S. Ignored Warning Signs in Libya

On "60 Minutes," Arnold said you can't run from your mistakes. You have to confront them. Yes, especially when they look exactly like you and keep calling you dad....paraphrasing Conan

  • There's a lot of speculation in the media what Romney and Obama need to do in tonight's debate. If the campaign is reading this blog, I'd suggest Romney challenge Obama right out of the box with: "With all due respect Mr. President, you've failed."
  • Obama's failures---his blind spots---are many. We've summarized them here countless times over the years including, but not limited to, the miserable unemployment picture, the $16T debt, four straight years of over $1T deficits,  the middle class losing 40% of its wealth in just the last 3 years alone, 48 million people on food stamps, highest levels of poverty in decades, runaway federal spending and waste of taxpayer's money as in Solyndra (foreign policy is not on this debate's agenda).
  • Romney also has weaknesses. For one, the similarities between ObamaCare and RomneyCare. He'll be tagged, as usual, for his wealth and taxes implying he's out of touch with the middle class.
  • Obama needs to come up with some new ideas or plans. He has not had any in years. Romney, on the other hand, needs to tell America what he will do as president.
  • So what will be the over/under for Obama mentioning the following phrases and words? Fair share, investments (he means taxes), taxing the wealthy more, using "I" repeatedly, "Let me be clear," "Make no mistake," etc.
  • The Romney team needs to know this (and I'm sure they do). He needs to make a good impression and have a good performance. If it ends in a tie, the MSM Pressitutes will declare Obama the winner.
  • Example of a question I'd like to hear: If Eric Holder and your administration had nothing to do with Fast and Furious, why did you claim executive privilege? Do you stand by your statements that regulations you favored and supported--cap and trade---will bankrupt the coal industry? Why did you take billions out of Medicare to fund ObamaCare?
  • Of course, he won't ask this one but I would: Mr. President, why do you lie so much?

Obama Administration's Benghazi Embassy Failures; "Wake The F--k Up America!"; The American Press is a Threat To Our Liberties; What Romney Must Do in Debate Tomorrow; Doctors Support Romney

DC Residents Can Remember Who They Were Murdering When The Nationals Clinched  First Ever Playoff Birth...The Onion

  • The facts regarding the attack on our embassy in Benghazi are now becoming more clear. We now know it was a planned al-Qaeda attack not a response to a non-existent film. We now know that prior to the attack on the embassy, threats were made prior to the attack. In fact, the Daily Beast is reporting today in the five months leading to the 9/11/12 attack there were TWO BOMBINGS on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi. In addition, on a June Facebook posting, threats were made against Ambassador Stevens (perhaps that's why his own diary notes indicate the possibility of an attack). In other words, the attack was not spontaneous.
  • So more questions are being raised. Why was security so lax at the embassy on 9/11? (USA TODAY reports there were FEWER than 10 armed security personnel on premises). Were the plethora of warnings heeded by the Obama administration and the State Department or were they ignored? And why did the administration continue to tell Americans the attack was in response to a non-existent film when THEY KNEW otherwise? All of the facts that have been aired shows clearly the administration was not telling the American people the truth. The Obama administration owes the American people full disclosure.
  • To borrow a phrase from Samuel L. Jackson, "WAKE THE F--K UP AMERICA!" The failures and apparent cover-up regarding the embassy attacks and failures in the Obama administration's foreign policy failures, the Fast and Furious scandal and our continued miserable economy shows clearly this administration is incompetent

The Irony of Stupidity; Ex-Cons To Be Covered By Medicaid; Obama's Foreign Policy Meltdown: Benghazi Highlights Failures; Obama Still AWOL; Univision Reporting Six Mexican Teenagers Murdered By Thugs Using Fast & Furious Weapons

"Obama Unsure How To Turn Huge Support Among Women, Latinos, Gays, African-Americans Into Electoral Victory."...The Onion's political page

  • I like to call this the "Irony of Stupidity."   The voters most damaged by Obama's policies---Blacks, Latinos,American Jews and the poor---will vote for him by large majorities.
  • For example, take ObamaCare. Most of the poor will be driven into Medicaid---a program already overloaded. In addition, we already have a physician shortage (predicted by this writer as soon as ObamaCare was passed. The Physicians Foundation found 60% of physicians reported they will be forced to restrict seeing new patients. In addition, 87% said the same will happen with Medicare.
  • And if you don't believe me, perhaps you'll believe Gov. Cuomo (D) of NY State. His administration is launching an aggressive plan to have thousands of ex-cons covered by Medicaid after their release from prison. In 2010, NY State discharged over 25,000 inmates. NY Post

  • It's undeniable now: the Obama administration's foreign policy is a dismal failure. In fact, it took four Americans to die in Benghazi to highlight these failures.  Michael Walsh, an opinion writer, points this out when he wrote this week the Embassy attacks and riots throughout the Muslim world (now in about 15 countries): "...have vividly exposed the hollow core of the president's foreign policy 'reset.'" With regard to the Embassy attacks, it's now clear---beyond the shadow of any doubt---the attack was well organized and deliberate. The administration knew this within 24 hours of the attack yet lied about it. There are also reports that the State Department had credible information about an impending attack about 2-3 days BEFORE it happened. If those reports are true, why weren't our embassies better protected? Why weren't Americans evacuated as a precaution? Why did the president himself go to a fundraiser in Vegas instead of minding the store? These are questions the MSM presstitutes need to keep asking the administration. And if it's too dangerous for the FBI to begin an investigation, why was it not too dangerous for our staff to remain there in the first place?
