Paranoid Syrian Man Thinks Government Out To Get Him...The Onion

- If things remain as bad as they are for the next four years, I predict historians will proclaim the Obama era as The Age of Stupid (I'm assuming historians in the future will not be stupid. I know that's also a bold prediction). If, however, they are not dishonest, what other conclusion is left available to them? Consider the facts: After 4 years in office, unemployment is now officially higher than when Pres. Obama took office (and the high levels of black unemployment should embarrass this president). Poverty rates are at record levels. Food stamp lines continue to grow by the thousands each week. ObamaCare, as predicted by its critics, will not reduce health care costs. Our foreign policy is out of control as evidenced by what is occurring globally (almost every region Hillary Clinton touched turned to sh!t). Add Benghazi and Fast and Furious to this mess. His administration's green energy initiatives have been a total failure and cost American taxpayers billions (there have been more than 10 failures similar to Solyndra). Trillions in stimulus money spent in the last four years got us to where we started 4 years ago (perhaps worse). Quite frankly, I can spend several pages on Obama's failures. I'll defer it to history.
- Of course, one cannot neglect the millions who voted for Obama. That's the icing on the cake for the Age of Stupid.
- By the way, speaking of stupid, you have to listen to some of Chuck Hagel's testimony at his confirmation hearing. He was conspicuously incoherent, confused and he contradicted himself on several occasions. In fact, he actually said: "If confirmed, I intend to know a lot more than I do." He was speaking about the position of Secretary of Defense, the position for which he was nominated by Pres. Obama. So our military will be led by this moron?

According to a new poll, 50% say the country is divided. The other 50% think it isn't...Leno

- Yesterday, the nation's economic "growth" retracted. As reported, it came in at a miserable -0.1%. That was the first retraction in over 3 years. Yet, the presstitutes in the media declared: "Dip In Economy Not So Bad." (USA Today headline). Their headline came in right before today's first time unemployment claims were reported. Those claims jumped significantly over last week by 38,000 to 368,000. The presstitutes just can't help themselves.
- It's easy for the Feds to keep bullsh!tting us since they just print more money. They also reported they will continue buying $85B in bonds---a month. Remember, someone once said, "Talk is cheap except when Congress does it."
- In addition to the news above, Pres. Obama has decided to ditched the Jobs Council he has not met with for over a year.
- Some in Congress who support a comprehensive immigration policy are declaring they will not support such legislation unless the borders are better enforced and more secure. Mark my words folks: Congress will just make a declaration that the borders are secure even when they are not. But common sense tells anyone unless we enforce border security it would be like bailing out a boat without plugging up the holes first.
- Pew Research reported today that 1 in 7 adults now support their parents and their kids. Obama's legacy continues.

- If reports are accurate that Israel attacked military targets on the Syrian-Lebanese border, they did the world a favor. It is believed the Israeli Air Force hit a convoy carrying advanced Russian SA-17 surface-to-air missiles. It's now clear that Iran and Syria are also arming Hezbollah. Israel did the right thing. And reports must be true since Iran and Syria threatened to retaliate against Israel.
- And, of course, the Obama administration followed through on the deal sending F-16's to Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood government. I mean---what could happen?
- Don't forget this name: Charles Albert Poland. He's the bus driver who was shot and killed by that psycho in Alabama as Poland tried to protect the children on the school bus.

- As Chuck Hagel---nominee for Sect of Defense--- gets grilled in Congress today (and early reports are he's really screwing up bad), bear in mind that Hillary was hailed for the "great job" she did. And when you think about how loosely these pricks in Congress use terminology like "great" in describing someone like her, I want you to think about what's happening today in Egypt, Syria, Libya, Iran, N. Korea and other parts of N. Africa where al-Qaeda has now set up camp. Then you'll understand how meaningless their praise is of any politician.
- By the way, al-Qaeda threatened a "shocking" attack on us on a pro-Islmists web site. Washington Times

- I've been reporting for years now that this economy continues to tank even as the Obama administration and his enabling presstitutes try to tell us otherwise. Once again, the proof is in the numbers. The GDP rate was a pathetic -0.1% for the last quarter--it contracted even after trillions of dollars in stimulus money. That growth is similar to what is happening in Europe today. So as Wall Street continues to show some impressive numbers, main street continues to struggle. But does anyone think this is surprising news to those on main street considering 22+ million people continue to be either unemployed or underemployed? I don't think so. Add to these numbers, the poverty rate and those on food stamps, the distressing GDP number should be a concern to every American.

- My regular readers know I've been calling Occupy Wall Street a bunch of fake, phonies, frauds, misfits and frauds for a long time. Well, they've been outed. CUNY's Murphy Institute for Worker Education and Labor Studies reported that many of the OWS protesters were rich, white, educated and working. In fact, a third of the phonies came from households making over $100K a year. "Occupy Wall Street was not a spontaneous eruption...," according to the study. "It's a pretty affluent demographic and highly educated."
- Sheriffs across the country are sending a strong message to the Obama administration. In short, they let the administration know---in writing---that they will defy an enforcement of gun laws that are contrary to the Second Amendment. In Utah alone, 28 of the state's 29 sheriffs sent a letter to Obama stating clearing they will enforce the rights guaranteed under the Constitution." USA Today

- I happen to be an immigrant. It's why I have a great deal of empathy for those immigrants who want to become citizens legally. It's also why I have a great deal of concern for the plans currently being considered in dealing with what is commonly called a "pathway to citizenship." There is no doubt that we need a comprehensive plan to deal with the over 11 million illegal immigrants in the country today (the number is probably higher). But do we do that at the expense of undermining the rule of law? As even USA Today pointed out: "For liberals, the Senate group's path to citizenship is too long and onerous. Well, too bad. There should be some cost to breaking the law." Speeding up the pathway to citizenship for those who have entered the country illegally would certainly be an affront to those immigrants who follow our laws on their journey to citizenship. And does anyone believe that lawmakers would be speeding up the pathway to citizenship of a majority of illegal immigrants were from countries outside of Mexico and other Latin American countries?
- And don't believe a word about the law requiring enforcing border security before any comprehensive plan is passed. Because once the law if passed, border enforcement will be placed on the back burner as it has always been.
- Having said this, I do support some form of the Dream Act. I don't like the fact that children brought here by the parents illegally should shoulder the consequences of the sins of their parents. For those illegal immigrants, I would support special considerations, e.g. if they serve in the military, they should be fast tracked to citizenship.
- Again, as USA Today's editorial correctly points out regarding speeding up citizenship for illegal immigrants: "That would be a huge slap in the face to those who played by the rules." In other words, we already have laws enabling immigrants to become citizens. It's called legal immigration.
- To those Hispanics who keep criticizing Republicans for not wanting to do anything with illegal immigration, Pres. George W. Bush, along with Sen. McCain, presented a plan in 2007 that had bi-partisan support but failed to get any traction.
- By the way, ICE is reporting that illegal immigration jumped 9% last year. Also, apprehensions have decreased by 50% since 2008.

Iran released a report that they sent a monkey into space. Unfortunately it was not Ahmadinajad...me
- There is no doubt in my mind the political class and elite keep flipping us the bird. And I'm referring to both parties. This was in evidence with the two recent testimonies in Congress last week by Hillary Clinton + that fake, phony and back stabbing fraud, John F. Kerry.
- If you were able to bear Kerry's confirmation hearing, he said absolutely nothing. In fact, even the presstitutes at The Washington Post wrote: "Kerry outlined no grand agenda for the next four years."
- And then there was Hillary Clinton's testimony. With the exception of two senators, she was treated with kid gloves even after saying at one point, "What difference, at this point, does it make." referring to the four dead Americans in Benghazi. For the record Mrs. Clinton, your failed leadership made all the difference between life and death on that September day.
