Al Sharpton: Race Baiting For Dollars

• I normally take a break from writing on weekends but I felt compelled to write about Al Sharpton considering the "Justice For Travon" protests occurring across the country today. But this piece is about the "Reverend" Al not Travon or Zimmerman. I'll let the presstitute media continue with their dishonest narrative regarding that case.
• Al Sharpton is a thug of the worst kind. He's succeeded in manipulating the media, the low information voters, the useful idiots and even many good people for over three decades. In fact, twenty years ago, he bragged out how he was able to manipulate the media through his grandstanding marches and protests (Breitbart Video: "Sharpton Explains How He Manipulates Media On Race Case,s," March 30, 2012).
• But Sharpton is also a hypocrite of the highest order. As his minions demonstrate and march, he stays in $1000 hotel rooms (Washington Post). In 2009, while he was hosting a conference, the Peabody Hotel in Memphis charged Sharpton and company owed the hotel almost $90,000 (Village Voice). Today Jonah Goldberg, National Review, wrote that Sharpton likes to hang around the exclusive Grand Havana Room, a cigar bar, in a penthouse in NYC. Goldberg also points out when Sharpton lost a defamation suit but claimed he didn't have the financials resources to pay the debt, he was asked then how can he afford such expensive suits. He replied he didn't own the suits but was granted "access" to those suits.
• Sharpton is the same guy who met with Pres. Obama in the White House to talk about plans on taxing the rich more when he still owed the IRS approximately $2.6 million in back taxes (NY Post). In fact, the same article points out the feds a dozen liens against Sharpton's groups including one for almost $600 grand in 2010. In fact, in 1993, he pleaded to a misdemeanor tax crime to avoid felony tax charges.

• Sharpton's actions regarding the post-Zimmerman case, come on the heels of the Tawana Brawley hoax in 1987, the young African-American girl who said she had been raped by six white men. He was successfully sued for defamation in that case. In other words, it was found he was a ring leader of that hoax.

• In 1991, in Crown Heights, NY, a Jewish man accidentally ran over a black child who died at the scene of the accident. Sharpton led marches during the race riots that followed. That was when he infamously referred to the "diamond merchants right here in Crown Heights." During those riots, Jews were beaten and one man, Yankel Rosenbaum, was stabbed to death.
• There was the Duke Lacrosse Case---similar to the Brawley hoax---where a black stripper accused some lacrosse players of rape at a party. Sharpton charged the Duke players with racism. Like the Brawley case, the Duke incident also proved to be a hoax.
• Sharpton has proved time and again to be a race-baiting charlatan who has a knack for riling up people while "cashing in on his access," as Goldberg stated so well in his piece. Even MSNBC, one of the nation's top presstitute networks, employs this thug as a host.
• Decades ago, a creep like Sharpton would be shunned. Yet today, he has access to the upper echelons of society as evidenced by his $1000 suits and fine Arturo Fuente cigars. He remains a societal and political disgrace but you wouldn't know it by the way our society treats him.

Postscript: The New York Post reported in early August of 2014 that Sharpton owes NY State $806,000 and has federal liens for unpaid personal incomes taxes against him totaling $2.6 million. In addition, his communication's company owes almost $500 grand to the state. He still has an outstanding balance of $208,000 for improperly taking campaign money during his 2004 presidential bid. In other words, he's getting away with it. 

Detroit: Another One Of Many Corpses Left In The Wake of Progressive Policies

• Initially I was reluctant to write about Detroit's bankruptcy. Let's face facts. It's been an soft target. In addition, my last post was about the failure and pain of progressive policies not only in Detroit but in many other American cities.
• Nevertheless, I felt compelled to write a few words for several reasons.
• I lived outside of Detroit for three years about 30 some odd years ago. I was still a young guy not paying to much attention to economics and politics. But even then, it was obvious something bad was going to come down in Detroit in the not too distant future. One had to be blind not to see it. The recession hit the city like a Mack truck and the foreign auto industry was making headway with the American consumer. In short, it was perceived by many that some American automobiles sucked. After all, it was during this period GM produced the Chevy Vega, a piece of crap. The Detroit auto industry started it's long contraction similar to what was happening with the steel industry in Youngstown, OH (another town I know well since I also lived in a surrounding community).
• The other ominous signs were the politics surrounding the city. It came as no surprise to me (and I'm sure many others) when years later former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was busted for extortion and bribery. I was just surprised it didn't happen earlier.
• And yet, while the city was collapsing, the municipal executives, along with the union executives, kept kicking the can down the road. One problem: they ran out of road. So the result was a steep decline in population from almost 2 million people in the 1950's to less than 700,000 living there now.
• When people left in droves, they left behind homes and businesses that eventually turned into almost 80,000 vacant structures. With that, the infrastructure started collapsing. Today, the fire department is at 75% operational capacity.  The average fire station is 80 years old. Kevin Orr, an emergency fiscal manager, proclaim the police department is "in disarray." While the national average time for police to respond is 11 minutes, in Detroit---it's 58 minutes. An estimated 40% of the city's street lights don't work. (USA Today).
• And unfortunately Detroit is not alone. Just yesterday, Moody's downgraded Chicago's bond rating. In progressive controlled California, several major cities filed for bankruptcy including San Bernardino and Stockton. Harrisburg, Pennsylvania's former Democrat mayor left the city near bankruptcy.

The Failure And Pain Of Progressive Policies

• I've written about progressives and how dangerous they can be on several occasions. The thought came to mind once again when I read about the illegal alien who was arrested recently for transporting over 200 pounds of marijuana across the border. But that's just the beginning of the story. This particular guy had already been deported 11 times previously. (Penal Country Sheriff's Office).
• Not long ago, NY Corrections reported they released 2012 murderers and sexual predators. Again, that's not the rest of the story. Some of these released had been arrested over 40 times.
• But one does not have to limit oneself to these two stories. We've all seen what distorted progressive policies have done to once great cities like Chicago, Detroit, Youngstown and countless others.
• The infiltration of progressive policies are also noticeable in higher education. As reported before, it was Columbia University that hired Kathy Boudin, a former domestic terrorist and currently progressive "scholar." Eric Fettman wrote a piece in the NY Post in 2003 where he pointed out Boudin was personally responsible for a dozen bombings across the country.
• So does it come as any surprise that progressive policies and legislation like ObamaCare, domestic economic policies and our foreign policy are complete failures? In fact, what does it say about a progressive rag like Rolling Stone that put the surviving Boston Marathon bomber on its cover to almost make him look like the late Jim Morrison?
• But even more disturbing, like all progressive and socialist failed policies over the ages, they also cause pain to a majority of citizens. For example, we now know that ObamaCare will be a financial burden to many.  We know the IRS targeting of largely conservative groups caused those affected financial pain. And we certainly know how much  pain this administration's financial policies have caused the nation.
• These are but a few examples of how dangerous progressive policies can be. Progressives and socialists (which are both different sides of the same coin) have left corpses in their wake especially in countries like Russia, Latin American and South East Asia. The legacy of progressivism is a painful one. In fact, one of the reasons progressives prefer to label themselves liberals is because they don't want the low information voters and useful idiots to be reminded of their sordid past.
• Thomas Sowell once wrote, "Obama's rhetoric of 'change' is in fact a restoration of discredited ideas that originated a hundred years ago."

The Big Distractions-Like Holder's Kangaroo Courts-From What Are The Real Issues Facing America

• As I wrote around the time of the election, the Obama campaign have distractions and diversions down to a science. Who can forget the bogus "war on women?" Who can forget the phony charges by the most miserable prick in Congress, Harry Reid, when he accused Romney of not paying taxes? (Perhaps the best response to Reid at the time came from NY Post columnist Michael Goodwin when he wrote of Harry: "Let's stipulate that Harry Reid is pond scum...But let's not forget what else he is: a hit man for the Obama campaign."). Who can forget the charge against Romney that he was a "dog abuser" until we found out Obama admitted to actually eating a dog?  Who can forget the charges that Republicans sent jobs overseas when we've sent jobs to China, Mexico, Brazil and Canada? Who can forget the creation of the "Myth of the Arab Spring?" You get the picture. One distraction after another.
• So it should not come as any surprise to anyone when the Democrats, the White House and their enablers in the presstitute media continue to use distraction and diversion strategy.
• While Eric Holder holds his Kangaroo Courts against Zimmerman across the nation appealing to the nation's low-information voters and the useful idiots, we still have a lousy economy, unemployment is still much too high (in fact, recent reports indicate we're becoming a nation of part-time workers. I guess that's what Obama meant by transforming the nation. In fact, based on these new pathetic unemployment numbers, USA Today actually wrote a piece on why the underemployment is actually worse than it looks) and our foreign policy is in the toilet. Things are so bad even Puerto Rico is reporting a surge in homelessness.
• Just as disturbing, even NBC had to report recently how dreams of young adults---getting married, buying their first home, etc.---is being delayed largely due to the bad economy. In addition, middle-class wealth tanked in the last two years to the tune of 40%.
• We still see blacks murder blacks at alarming rates.

The Political Class + Media Are Geniuses In Manipulating And Exploiting Useful Idiots

• As Eric Holder ponders whether his Justice Department will pursue federal civil rights charges against George Zimmerman, he said nothing about whether his department will pursue civil rights actions against all of the people threatening Zimmerman's life and the lives of his family members.
• And that gets to my point. While all those protesters march against the Zimmerman verdict (as they have every right to do), they don't even realize they are being played by the likes of Holder, Sharpton and many in the media.
• Just as disturbing, many of these people don't even understand why they are protesting.
• I never directly wrote about the trial because I wasn't at the trial. I wasn't with Zimmerman and Travon when their altercation took place. Yet, many of these knuckleheads presume they know what happened at the trial and at the scene of the tragedy.

The Continued Exploitation Of African Americans By The Media, African-American Leadership And Progressive Frauds

Actually, Louis Farrakhan is wrong. African-Americans have more to fear from other African-Americans than they do from the likes of George Zimmerman. The facts:

• This week Mediaite reported that about 11,000 blacks have been murdered since Travon was killed in February of 2012. Did you hear or see the likes of Sharpton and other race baiters and race inflamers show any concern about such extreme violence?
• Over the recent July 4th weekend in Chicago, there were 70 people were wounded from gun shots and 10 killed. While African-Americans make up approximately 33% of Chicago's population, in 2012 they made up approximately 78% of the homicide victims. Chicago Tribune
• Of the 500 murders in Chicago in 2012, 62 were school aged children.
• In New York City in 2012, murder victims were more frequently black at 61% (Hispanics approximately 27%). The known murder suspects who were black stood at 53.7%( Hispanics at 34.8%). White suspects accounted for 8.7%. NYPD Enforcement Report

Similar statistics exist in many other cities with large African-American populations. So when will black leadership in America take this problem seriously? As the data above shows, while their focus and the focus of the media were on Zimmerman for the past 17 months, over 11,000 African-Americans were murdered---mostly by other blacks.

Where is the outrage?  Yesterday and today, we've witnessed the indignation across the nation in response to the Zimmerman verdict. Yet,  the wrath at blacks shooting and murdering other blacks at a horrific rate largely has gone unnoticed nationally especially by the media. In fact, the media makes it a point to racially charge incidents such as the Zimmerman/Travon tragedy (read my previous two posts regarding the shameful behavior of the media in this sad episode. The media should take a cue from Travon's family who have acted and responded with grace and dignity throughout this sad period in their lives). It's morally shocking. It should be unacceptable for any society to tolerate that kind of assault on any of its citizens regardless of race and ethnicity.

And the leadership in the white community does not get a pass either. These crimes affect everyone in society regardless of race. To many in the white community (as in the media which is largely white) enable this type of behavior or turn a blind eye to it.

The fact is law enforcement cannot be everywhere. The police generally respond to incidents. They rarely are able to prevent most murders. That leaves the leadership in the black, white and brown communities to be the chief drivers of change in their communities. Leading from behind won't work. In addition, leaving candles, flowers and a few cute stuffed animals at the site of a murder don't stop crimes. They might make the community "feel" better to honor the victim. However, in my experience, it appears to stop there. So over time, the candles burn out, the flowers die and the cute, stuffed animals begin fraying until the next victim. And then the grieving process starts all over again to be replaced by more candles, flowers and stuffed animals.

It was Martin Luther King, Jr., who reminded us, "We must love together as brothers or we will perish together as fools."

It's time to stop the insanity, to stop the foolishness or we'll continue to see the outcomes Martin Luther King, Jr., warned us about.

RE: Zimmerman Case--Media Invented A False + Dishonest Narrative

I'm not going to re-hash the trial.  Regardless of what your opinion is of the verdict, the justice system spoke. I'll leave it at that.

I'd rather focus on the media and it's impact on this trial. In my last post, I wrote about how shameful the media has been since the events of February of 2012. I'd like to delve into that further.

In short, the media's behavior throughout this entire event and tragedy has not only been shameful, but it's also been dishonest and false.

Allow me to reinforce this charge.

• From the very beginning, the media referred to Zimmerman as being "white." In fact, that was followed by the likes of the New York Times, CNN and others who came up with the absurd assertion that Zimmerman was a "white Hispanic." As I wrote in my last post, then we might as well start calling the first black president, Obama, a "white African-American." The media used that absurd language for one reason only: to make Zimmerman out to be a racist.
• Al Sharpton and other well-known race baiters entered the fray. As Sharpton's history shows, anytime he enters one of these episodes, he inflames racial tensions.
• About a month later, Matt Gutman of ABC News reported Travon was shot "because he was black." He made that claim without a shred of evidence (Remember, this was just a month after the incident).
• About the same time, CNN reported that Zimmerman uttered the slur "coon" when referring to Travon. That was false. The network retracted that claim a month later.
• In March, Pres. Obama entered the dispute when he said, "If I had a son, he could look like Travon." What the hell did that mean?
• Later that month, NBC News edited a portion of the 9/11 tape to make it appear Zimmerman was a racist. Several NBC producers were fired as a result and Zimmerman is now suing the network.
• ABC News followed that with a report that Zimmerman was not injured that night (That genius on MSNBC, Chris Mathews, also echoed that false claim on his show, Hardball). ABC retracted the story a few days later.
• Even though the airing of the edited 9/11 tape was proven false, The New York Times went ahead and posted  story on their front page several days later.
• Throughout this entire episode, one network after another reported Zimmerman as being "white."
• The Nation, a progressive rag, actually attributed the verdict to "white supremacy."
• Social media doesn't get a pass either. There have been countless threats against Zimmerman. In fact, Victor Cruz, of the NY Giants proving head injuries turn some football players into nitwits, wrote: "won't last a year before the hood catches up with him."
• There were other Tweets threatening the jury. One in particular: "Niggas coming for that bitch ass jury too." Another Tweeted: "Somebody should kill one of the jury members sons and let the killer free."
• The punks and cowards who call themselves The New Black Panther Party put wanted posters up with Zimmerman's image.

As one observer remarked Zimmerman was guilty until he was proven innocent.

So I ask you: who are the real racists?
