"1944: Omaha Beach. 2013: Obama Beach."...Burge Tweet
- If you recall, immediately following the shooting of Congresswoman Giffords in January of 2011, the media presstitutes began their usual rhetoric: blaming the Right and the Tea Party for the shooting. Specifically, their targets were Palin and Bachmann. Then in the 2012 presidential campaign they pointed to the "incivility" of the rhetoric coming from the Right (does anyone ever remember Mitt Romney's uncivil rhetoric?). In fact, Pres. Obama himself declared, "I'm going to do my part to lead a constructive and civil debate..." That was immediately followed by a speech he gave where he accused Republicans of abandoning families of children with autism and Down syndrome. In fact, his own HHS said the Republican plan would make seniors "die sooner."

- Let's jump to now. In just the recent past, Pres. Obama accused the GOP of "putting a gun to the American people's head." He followed that with accusing Republicans of threatening to "burn the house down." The arrogant petulance over Obamacare, the shutdown and the debt ceiling didn't end with the president.
- The most miserable prick in Congress, Sen. Harry Reid, said," The American people will not be extorted by Tea Party anarchists."
- His Botoxed cohort, Nancy Pelosi, referred to the Republicans as "legislative arsonists."
- White House advisor Dan Pfeiffer actually likened the Republicans to someone with a "bomb strapped to their chest."
- Earlier this week, the Washington Post---while running a piece on "civil bi-partisanship" and listing 9 ways to punish Congress for the shutdown actually suggested---under a photo of Boehner---"Line 'em up and shoot 'em." (Yes, ironic coming from the anti-2nd Amendment crowd). As John Nolte (who listed much of this information in a recent piece in Breitbart) correctly observed if a Tea Partier had said or written that it would be on every front page of every newspaper in the country.
- Tina Brown attempted to trump that by accusing the Republicans of donning "suicide vests.

- The always reliable and certified knucklehead, Chris Mathews, referred to the GOP as "hostage takers."
- And need I remind you, it was just 5 months ago when this administration veterans, pro-lifers, Tea Party folks, and others as enemies of the state (if you wish, you can refer to my post on May 19, 2013, for sources on that claim).
- One can argue most politicians--Left, Right and Center---are petulant and uncivil but progressive Democrats take it to absurd and damaging levels.
"Shrill Obama back to 'gun to head' rhetoric.'" Tweet by John Nolte
- This government shutdown by the progressive political class has one purpose only: to spread misery to most Americans.
- If you recall, during sequestration, the military was forced to cut back on tuition assistance for their troops. In fact, our troops received a whopping 1% increase in salary, the lowest increase in 50 years. The White House was closed to tours. They cut funding to Native American schools. Furloughs were imposed on air traffic controllers (a critic at the time likened that to removing stop lights from our roads). Their scare tactics included "warning" Americans that teachers and first-responders would lose their jobs. At the time, I entitled one of my pieces: "Obama's Magical Misery Tour."

- Well, the misery tour continues. As most Americans now know, they even tried to keep our WWII veterans from visiting THEIR OWN MEMORIAL this week. The administration put barricades up to try to dramatize how damaging a government shutdown really is. They even did it by exploiting WWII vets in their 80's and 90's, many of whom are disabled from age and from war. As Burge Tweeted yesterday, "OMG anarchists in wheelchairs." He was referring to the most miserable prick in Congress, Harry Reid, calling the Tea Party folks anarchists.
- But this disgrace didn't end there. Powerline reported yesterday that 20 SEIU union members protested Republicans at the Memorial. It was revealed that those 20 SEIU members were PAID by the Democrats to hold their protest.
- It gets even worse. In August, even USA TODAY reported that military hospitals were experiencing shrinking services to meet spending cuts. They reported furloughs lead to delays in treatment for our injured troops. Inpatient beds were in critically short supply. The National Military Family Association complained of troops waiting longer just to make medical appointments, immunizations for infants and just getting someone to answer the phones at medical clinics. At Walter Reed, the primary facility for troops wounded in our wars, the number of operating rooms were cut from 23 to 20 Monday through Thursday and 10 on Fridays.
"Go ahead and visit the DC memorials today. Just tell the Park Police you granted yourself an exemption." Tweet by David Burge

- I have a theory on why so many Americans are still enchanted with Obama and why many are becoming disenchanted with him now.
- I'm sure many of you recall the one guy in your group who had some smooth basketball moves in practice. He was a also a slick talker. Everybody liked the guy. He could dribble better than Pete Maravich. He could shoot the lights out of the basket from 25 feet even at the edges. In practice, he was Michael Jordan. But during the game, he threw up brick after brick and couldn't dribble around a fire hydrant. That's our president. He talked a good game to the low information voters. He was smooth. He was likable. But when the game started, he threw up air balls, and he's still throwing up air balls.
- Whether it's domestic policy or foreign policy, Obama can't even hit the rim if he was standing right under it. Like the guy we knew years ago, many tolerated him for a long time. After all, he appeared to be a good guy. He had some smooth moves. Who cares he couldn't play under game pressure---until his poor play was responsible for many of our losses. That's what's happening to Obama. I believe all the scandals, the Syrian fiasco and now the shutdown are showing more Americans this president just can't play ball. He's all show. He's all style with no substance. In a game, he can't make the outside jump shot.

Will the Obamaphones still work?..Tweet by Dana Loesch

- Let's be frank. Whether in private industry or government, any major rollout of a new program will encounter some hiccups and problems. So it should surprise no one that millions of Americans are encountering problems enrolling into ObamaCare.
- However, what I find surprising is the extent of the problems today considering the administration spent almost $700 million on publicizing ObamaCare and the exchanges in just the last few years. In addition, a majority of Americans still do not know much about the law. In fact, a majority didn't even know enrollments started today. Consider how absurd that is in the age of social media.
- Just as disturbing, there have been thousands of enrollment glitches reported in almost 40 states. In other words, the government spent $700 million of tax payer money to promote and implement the law, and they couldn't even do that right. Only a government can screw something up so bad after working on it for 3 years.
- It appears Sen Max Baucus, one of the key players in getting ObamaCare passed three years ago, was prescient when he declared last April: "I see a huge train wreck coming down." He said that to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius during a Senate hearing on ObamaCare implementation. As reported several months ago, Jimmy Hoffa, Teamster President who was also a big supporter of ObamaCare in 2010, sent a letter to Reid and Pelosi informing them that ObamaCare would "destroy the foundation of the 40-hour work week.." Actually, I like to call that Karma.
- Once again, allow me to remind you, the administration spent over $700 million of tax payer money on this rollout. If this occurred in private industry, everyone responsible would be fired.
- But in government, not only will no one be held accountable for this disaster, the main players behind this incompetence actually had the cajones to shut down the government. Do you need more evidence of government dysfunction?
- We've also been told that our personal medical information would be secure under ObamaCare (need I remind you of the IRS and the NSA scandals?). It appears even the government has to be on the alert for internal screw-ups. HHS had to remind its navigators this week: "Do not leave documents that contain PII (Personal Identifiable Information) or tax return information on printers and fax machines." In other words, it's clear that's been a problem within government employees for a long time.
- By the way, there is some good news today. A group of WWII veterans visiting the WWII Memorial today knocked over the barriers that were set up to prevent anyone from visiting the Memorial due to the government shutdown. A Tweet from an observer at the Memorial at 11 a.m. today: "The vets have control of the memorial." That's what I'm talking about!!!!
