Obama And The Political Class Are Masters Of Double-Talk As Well As Lies

• The difference between double-talk and lies is just a matter of degree or perception. Nevertheless, the Obama administration and the progressive political class have mastered both.
• Perhaps one of the most conspicuous examples of double talk by Pres. Obama occurred last year when he said---with a straight face---"This is the most transparent administration in history." I guess he forgot that the Government Accountability and Transparency Board is closed to the press (Washington Post: "Ironic: Transparency board meeting behind closed doors.").
• Last May, Reason took the president to task regarding the drone program. They wrote,"In a textbook example of Orwellian doublespeak, he (Obama) declared that America would be haunted by civilian casualties produced by drone attacks---without noting these drone attacks were the defining feature of his war on terror."
• In January of this year, Pres. Obama said, "I am not going to wait for Congress. I could do more with Congress but I'm not going to not doing anything without Congress, not when its about the basic security and dignity of American workers." Say what?
• Two words: Red Line.

I Was Right: Obamacare Is A Hoax + The Media Has Been Complicit In Perpetuating The Hoax

• Like many critics, I've written a number of posts on Obamacare or referencing Obamacare in the last five years. But perhaps the one I believe was certainly on point was a piece I posted last October entitled, "Logic, Reason, Data + Facts Show Obamacare Is A Deliberate Hoax." I stand by that piece today. In fact, I believe the long list of delays and waivers in the past year reinforce that claim. Just yesterday, the Obama administration delayed---yet again---the employer mandate provision that requires businesses with 50-99 employees either provide insurance for their workers or pay a penalty. That mandate has been delayed until 2016.
• At that time, the news broke that the White House knew millions of Americans would not keep their health insurance even though they kept telling us otherwise. As we now know, the Obamacare website and its rollout were also a complete disaster.

The Progressive Political Class Now Proclaim In One Voice: Work---What Is It Good For?

• "Opportunity created by affordable, quality health insurance allows families in America to make a decision about how they will work, or if they will work." WH spokesperson
• "This was one of the goals (of Obamacare) to give people life, a healthy life, liberty to pursue their happiness." Nancy Pelosi.
• Pelosi added, "What we're seeing is that people are leaving their jobs because they are no longer job locked."
• The above are just a few of the reactions of the progressive democrats to the bombshell report by the Congressional Budget Office last week  that Obamacare will reduce the number of hours Americans work by the equivalent of 2.5 million jobs. 
• In other words, progressives now want us to believe that fewer people working and more people dependent on the government is actually a good thing. In fact, these nitwits want the millions who have lost their jobs in the last five years to feel liberated. After all, many now have Obamacare (and millions still don't have any health insurance---but that's a minor issue they don't want Americans to know).
• And why not? I'd love to spend my life visiting the best beaches on the planet---as long as someone else pays for it.
• But don't be fooled. As Michael Goodwin of the NY Post pointed out correctly, "The anti-job, pro-dependency tilt is the crux of the nation's polarization...It pits those who believe in the sanctity of work against those who believe in penalizing wealth and redistributing its fruits."
• All of this comes down to trying to impress upon the low information voters and the useful idiots that having lost your job, your house, your car, your investments and even your family is okay because at least you have health care.
• Unfortunately, many Americans will fall for this distorted ideology, a keystone of progressivism. How do I know that? Many of these same people voted for this administration TWICE! They voted for this administration even though its policies drove their families into poverty. They voted for this administration even though its policies have wiped out millions of jobs. They even voted for this administration as they stood on the unemployment line.
