Putin + Geo-Political Thugs like Him Know Obama, The UN + The EU Live In A Paper Doll World

Responding to Obama's sanctions, a Russian official asked if "a joker came up with these." Hopefully, our answer won't be under oath...Jay Carnie Tweet

  • "Vladimir Putin has taken the measure of Barack Obama. He's found Jimmy Carter." That was the lead sentence in an early March editorial in the NY Post. It appears fitting, but I would go further. Putin has found Jimmy Carter in the UN and the EU too.
  • And it's not been a difficult call for Putin as well as the other despots around the globe. For example, China is currently involved in gunboat diplomacy against Japan and many of the other nations in Southeast Asia. We've watched as Assad has run roughshod against his own people in Syria where it's now estimated over 150,000 people have died and  millions of refugees have taken shelter in countries like Jordan.  These geo-political thugs now realize that American prestige, influence, strength and perhaps even our security have all be diminished in the last five years (the UN and the EU have never had any prestige, influence or strength anyway). Perhaps just as disquieting, the faces of our foreign policy have included John Kerry, Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton. There's no Henry Kissinger, Dean Acheson or George C. Marshall in the bunch. No, we have a fake, phony and back-stabbing fraud in John F. Kerry who said several weeks ago: "It's a 19th Century act in the 21st Century," referring to Putin's actions. Sorry dufus, Putin and Assad are waging very 21st Century wars.

  • All of what we are watching unfold in the geo-political war is the consequence of countries like ours portraying weakness. And for that, many people are now paying a horrific price. Our weakness invites this type of aggression. In fact, one can make a damn good argument---because history is replete with examples---that type of behavior actually makes the world a more dangerous place.
  • Former Polish President Lech Walesa---speaking about Ronald Reagan---understood the meaning of projecting strength when he said of Reagan: "When he saw injustice, he wanted to do away with it. He saw Communism and he wanted to put an end to it." Leadership like that is lacking today.
  • Even USA Today had to admit recently: "President Putin, a former KGB agent, has said that the collapse of the evil empire was 'the greatest geopolitical disaster' of the 20th century. That alone should have been a clue to this White House that misspelled reset buttons weren't going to cut it. But they were too stuck in the past to see it." In other words, Pres. Obama, the UN and the EU have been basing their failed foreign policy on how they think the world should operate rather than on how it really operates. Obama and the other spineless leaders are not directly responsible for the behavior of tyrants. But when despots perceive that you believe you're living in a paper doll word---the result is Crimea.

As Our Domestic + Foreign Policy Fall Into Chaos, The Media Obsesses About Obama's NCAA Brackets

John Kerry Poses As Masseuse To Get A Few Minutes With Putin...The Onion

  • I was wondering how embarrassing it is for the United States to have as the faces of its foreign policy J.F.Kerry, Slo Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton. But just as disturbing, our media's behavior manages to even trump those as it obsesses about Pres. Obama's NCAA bracket picks.
  • Putin and other thugs have been watching this nonsense for the last five year. In fact, our stature on the globe has been so degraded,  Putin was able to annex an entire country before Pres. Obama even completed a round of golf.
  • We're witness to an era when our domestic policy disasters are now merging into foreign policy disasters as well. Iran continues to obtain those particulars it needs to develop its nuclear missile capabilities in violation of previous agreements. In Syria, the rebels are losing as the Assad regime continues to maintain many of its chemical weapons. John F. Kerry's diplomatic trips to the Middle East end with squat as we continue to blame Israel for any failures in resolving the Palestinian "question."

Political Social Media Gives Ordinary Citizens An Effective Weapon In Defending Truth (+ Unveiling Lies)

John Kerry is concerned that the Russian tanks idling in Ukraine is causing global warming and suggested they keep moving through Europe...Jay Carnie Tweet

  • The role of social media in in our lives and in politics today is enormous. Earlier this week, the WSJ reported that Millennials spend up to 18 hours a day using some form of media. In 2008, one can argue that social media played a huge role in the election of Pres. Obama. The irony comes into play when one also realizes social media is also playing a huge role in exposing the lies and deceit of the political class in America. No where was this more evident than in the exposition of the lies associated with Obamacare in the last four years.  As a result,  one can also make the argument social media is responsible for Pres. Obama's poor poll numbers in almost every measurable category of late.
  • In many ways, social media is the "alarm and muster" system of the modern age in America. "Alarm and muster" was a system devised by the colonists in the early 1770's to serve as widespread notification system. It enabled colonists to quickly deploy local militia in response to emergencies or the approaching British troops.
  • Social media serves the same purpose today. We've seen protesters use this media in response to despotic government actions in recent years, e.g. Iran, Syria, Ukraine among many others.
  • We've also seen it play a major role in Constitutional Republics like our own. Petitions have gone digital. Social and political activism has exploded online in recent years, e.g. Tea Party, OWS, etc. Donations to specific political parties have been made much easier  with politicians raising millions in a matter of a few days or weeks.

Progressive Ideology Relies on Bigotry, Hypocrisy, Arrogance And Reforming Their Own Blunders

I'd like to thank a majority of news correspondents for sitting here silently month after month through dozens of scandals.  I love you. Tweet by Jay Carnie

  • "Ideologues will sacrifice anything to ideology...even children, " noted conservative columnist Michelle Malkin recently.
  • Ideologues take up space on both sides of the political isle. However, there is an exception. Progressive ideologues rely on intolerance, bigotry, deceit and constantly trying to reform their own blunders.
  • No where has this been more conspicuous than the progressive's war on poor children. From NYC to Washington, D.C., charter schools have been attacked by these vicious ideologues. Their hypocrisy also knows no bounds. For example, NYC Mayor de Blasio has been waging this very same war in his city yet he received the same type of education when he was growing up. Pres. Obama himself tried to crush the DC Opportunity Scholarship Program, a program that gives children of the poor a shot at attending schools they otherwise could not afford. Last year, Eric Holder was charged with trying to stop the Louisiana school-choice program. Similar to the DC program, poor children are given scholarship to attend better schools than the failing public schools many now attend. Holder's DOJ is still having the feds review the program.
  • And this twisted ideology is not specific to the education of our children. We saw the same reaction from progressives just last month after the Congressional Budget Office reported that Obamacare would reduce the number of hours Americans work. The reaction from progressives? That's a good thing.  At the time, Nancy Pelosi actually said, "This was one of the goals of {Obamacare} to give people life, a healthy life, liberty to pursue their happiness." Michael Goodwin of the NY Post responded to Pelosi's absurd observation with this: "America now has a government that views work as a trap and celebrates those who escape it."
  • We've also witnessed progressives using identity politics as a weapon. During the last two campaigns, they made the ridiculous charges that Republicans did not like women, the poor, gays and minorities.  Just recently, Nancy Pelosi declared that Republicans want the poor to go hungry and member of the Black Congressional Caucus accused Paul Ryan of racism (keep in mind, these are many of the same members of the Black Congressional Caucus who praised Castro's policies several years ago. In fact, these are many of the same people---including their ideological peers---who knelt at the alter of Che and Hugo Chavez, both had the blood of innocents on their hands).
  • Much of the progressive attitude has to do with enriching their own coffers. How often have we witness the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson profiting from their own divisiveness and intolerance? To often to count.
