Pres. Obama: The Great Pretender Continues To Wear Blinders

Say what you want about ISIS, but they've never lied to you about ISIS...David Burge Tweet

  • I'd never thought I'd live to see that day when an American administration appropriates the narrative of our enemies. Not only does this administration refuse to identify the enemy {as he did at that "extremism" summit yesterday}, but they also believe all those young Islamist lunatics need is a jobs program. In case you missed it, Marie Harf, spokeswoman for the State Department, said just that this week. And then she followed that absurd statement with another absurd statement the following day. She accused her critics of being too stupid to understand what she was suggesting {"It might be too nuanced an argument for some," according to this nitwit}. Of course, it's a difficult argument to understand considering jobs is not the issue for these maniacs. In addition, it's this administration's domestic economic policies that have led to the highest poverty rates in decades as well as over 90M people who have dropped out of the work force. We have millions of Americans who need jobs. For God's sake,  little perspective and common sense would go a long way here.
  • And this reverts back to a piece I wrote several days ago. In short, I made the case unless America leads, no one will. And we have an administration whose leadership failures know no bounds. And within this dangerous environment, even after Islamist beheaded almost two dozen Christians (according to Obama---just Egyptian citizens), even after ISIS cooks a Jordanian pilot, even after Boko Haram continues to kidnap and murder Christians, even after genocide continues to be committed almost on a daily basis, Obama said: "No religion is responsible for terrorism---people are responsible for violence and terrorism." Yet, just two weeks ago at the National Prayer Breakfast, Obama took a step back into ancient history to try to make an argument for moral equivalence when he said: "...Remember that during the Crusades and Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ."
  • This begs the question: Why does this president continue to defend Islamist more than coming to the defense of Christians and Jews? Keep in mind, it was Mr. Obama who said of the recent attack on the Jewish deli in Paris: "...when you've got a bunch of violent, vicious zealots who behead people or randomly shoot a bunch of folks in a deli in Paris." And the worst kept secret in the beltway is Obama's animus toward Israel.
  • Michael Goodwin of the NY Post described this administration's rhetoric and behavior well: "The rot of denial runs deep, and starts at the top."

"Never Again" Transformed Into "Over And Over Again."

Difference between Nazis and ISIS? The Nazis tried to hide their atrocities...David Burge Tweet

  • After the Holocaust, the world's intention was to unite behind the simple two-word phrase: "Never Again." In 1948, the UN held a convention on the prevention of the crime of genocide. And while Western societies upheld the tenets of the convention, mass killings and genocide continued to take place throughout other parts the globe. Unfortunately, in a number of those cases, many nations stood by and did nothing to prevent the mass killing of innocents. During the post WWII period, we've witnessed genocide in Uganda, Rwanda, Cambodia, the Balkans, Darfur, Yemen and Syria just to name a few.
  • And today we're watching as genocide continues to be committed by the likes of ISIS, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram and their affiliates. This week's slaughter of almost two dozen Egyptian Christians by ISIS is just the most recent example.
  • Yet, immediately after the murder of those Christians by ISIS, our government refused to identify the victims as Christians in their own statement regarding the murders. Instead the victims were identified as "citizens." It's disturbing enough that the Obama administration and the State Department have downplayed the role of Islamist as the main source of this on-going genocide but to refuse to identify the victims as Christians is distressing and sinfully inadequate. Canada's PM David Cameron had no hesitancy in defining the crime for what it was when he stated, "I'm appalled by the murder of Christians in Libya, a simply barbaric and inhumane act..." Pope Francis followed with his own statement: "They were killed simply for the fact that they were Christians." It should be frightening to every American that not only does our government refuse to identify the enemy, it also refuses to identify the victims.
  • Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of NY, warned us today that the actions and attacks by these barbaric lunatics "threaten civilization itself." And he's absolutely correct. And if our own government must come to the understanding that choosing appeasement over courage will only continue to embolden our enemies. There is no middle ground in this fight. The goal must be to win---no matter what it takes and no matter what the cost. If fighting this evil is not worth the sacrifice, then, my friends, nothing is.
  • With this upcoming Lenten season, Cardinal Dolan offers this observation: "This massacre leaves us not only with ashes on our foreheads, but with tears in our eyes, a lump in our throat, and a burning in our heart."
  • The good Cardinal might not approve of my language, but it's also time to hunt---hunt down the savages and kill every single one of them.
Postscript: Since this was posted, Christian genocide continues.

Unless America Leads, No One Else Will Lead

Since the Obama admin. started its absurd "strategic patience" strategy, ISIS and their warped thugs are now in about 18 countries...my Tweet yesterday

  • Before I begin, I need to alert you to two stores that highlight how truly disturbed the left really is. Joe Gibbons, a college professor, filmed himself stealing a grand from a bank on New Years Eve. This nitwit proclaimed his actions as a "work of art." He was busted. But here's the rest of the story: A museum in Queens, NY, wants to show his felonious film project. A fundraiser for the museum declared: "Joe submerges himself in the chaos and entropy of life calling it research." The other story has to do with a rap video that showed one of the rappers pointing a gun to the head of a cop. Two attorneys from the Bronx defenders office took part in this video. A Robin Steinberg, head of the defenders office, lied about her organization's role in the video. She was suspended for 60 days. But here's the rest of the story: Harvard Law School plans on honoring Steinberg  among 50 other female attorneys who will be lauded as an "inspiration." Folks, even if you tried, you couldn't make this up. And this kind of nonsense goes on every day. Source: NY Post
  • It's becoming apparent to more and more Americans that America lacks leadership from the top especially when it comes to foreign policy. Because of this conspicuous and disturbing lack of leadership, ISIS has now spread across over a dozen countries. Just yesterday, these same vile homicidal maniacs released a video showing them beheading over a dozen Egyptian Christians along the shores of Tripoli in Libya.
  • Last week, I wrote a piece claiming that the global community needs "American on that wall." I also made it clear that we shouldn't spearhead the war against our enemies alone but rather we should lead a coalition to destroy ISIS. Instead, all we get from the administration is some ludicrous rhetoric about the use of "strategic patience." The only outcome of this foolish strategy is watching more innocents getting slaughtered every day by likes of ISIS, Boko Haram and other Islamist lunatics.
  • It also reminds me that during WWII, America and its allies destroyed two of the world's best military's AT THE SAME TIME in 4 years. Yet, it appears we can't even destroy and eradicate approximately 20,000 terrorists. And it's not like we don't know where they are. We do. And it's not like we don't have the capability. We do.
  • The U.S. Navy, until recently, had an ad proclaiming them as a Global Force For Good. As I wrote not long ago, we need instead to be a BAD ASS global force for good. That means we need to hunt down and kill every one of these Islamist thugs.
  • But that will be increasingly more difficult to do when we have an administration that continues to focus on what it will NOT do rather than unleashing hell upon our enemies.
