Ferguson Illustrates How Perpetuating A Myth Is Dangerous As It Exploits Rage + Creates Misery

Van Jones once compared cops to SS Officers in convo with me. Media, WH have reinforced that idea. Is it any wonder cops get shot...Ben Shapiro (Van Jones was the former Green Czar in the Obama administration, 9/11 Truther and supporter of Mumia among other lunatic fringe activities and beliefs).

  • As many of you already know, two police officers in Ferguson, MO, were ambushed and shot last night. Thankfully both do not appear to have life threatening wounds.
  • One clear outcome has emerged in that shooting. It illustrates clearly what many of us have been warning about: perpetuating a myth---"Hands Up, Don't Shoot!"---is not only absurd considering the outcome of several investigations but it is dangerous and can lead to violence.
  • Last week, Ferguson police officer, Darren Wilson, was cleared of all charges by the United States Justice Department in the shooting of Michael Brown this past August. Wilson was also cleared by a Missouri grand jury last November.
  • But even with all of the facts bearing out Wilson's narrative on the night of that shooting, many in the media, misguided activists and punks continued to perpetuate a false narrative. In my December 2014 piece {"Ferguson Illustrates How The Progressive Political Class Perpetuates False Narratives"}, I warned about the potential dangers of making such false claims. In fact, in my posting yesterday {"The Toxic Ideology of Modern Progressives..."}, I laid out---convincingly I believe---how the likes of Al Sharpton and other con artists leave violence, and sometimes, death in their wake. Now we can add the shooting of two police officers to his and others shameful, contemptible and vile record.
  • We've been witness to misguided fools who could care less about the facts, truth and even the lives of police officers. To many of these punks, all of this is irrelevant. They knowingly dismiss those facts to promote an agenda based on lies and deceit. And what better way of doing that than by burning an entire town down and ambushing police officers. And if anyone believes I'm out of line, it was just this past December when two NYC police officers were ambushed and murdered. Their assailant made references to the Michael Brown shooting.
  • Unfortunately, for the good people of Ferguson, the kangaroos appear to remain in charge. So spare me the victimology nonsense. Stop promoting false narratives (that includes the nitwits in Hollywood, in sports and in the media too).  Until that's done, Ferguson will just be one of many towns in America where thugs like Al Sharpton and his ilk will continue to exploit rage among the stupids and punks. They will just collect their checks and move on to profit from more misery---misery they've created.

Hillary Clinton: Is The Smartest Woman In The World Really This Stupid?

Hillary Clinton is Richard Nixon without the charm...Tweet by Andy Levy

Those of us following the Clintons for the last two decades recall well the fawning media and Hillary sycophants proclaiming her as the smartest woman in the world. For those of you too young to remember, look it up. But her presser on the email controversy proved otherwise. Hillary Clinton is not that smart. In fact, John Podhoretz wrote about her today: "The problem is by playing dumb, she acts stupid."

I actually reinforced that claim in a post I wrote last May. I referred to Hillary Clinton as the "perfect progressive politician: good at nothing; bad at everything." As I and others outlined on numerous occasions, she is devoid of any meaningful accomplishments whether it was in her roll as First Lady, Senator from NY State or Secretary of State. In case you missed it, even the progressive leaning Washington Post was left to ask: "Where is the record of accomplishment, let alone greatness?"

By all accounts, her presser yesterday was a total disaster. Even the progressive media is scratching their collective heads. I took the opportunity to Tweet out that even her supporters were shopping around for new sweat glands. So how bad was her 18 minute narrative? This bad:

  • She revealed she deleted 30,000 "personal" emails from her tenure as Secretary of State. Yet, she followed that up with this statement: "I want it all out there." On the other hand, she said, "The server will remain private." (Remember, she set up her own server in her residence).
  • She said she used a private email address (not a government email address) to avoid having to use two phones. But last month, at a tech conference, she admitted: "I have, you know, an IPad, a mini IPad, an IPhone and Blackberry."
  • In this same press conference, she stated the server "contains private communications from my husband and me." Now that's quite a revelation considering Bill Clinton admitted he doesn't email and only sent two emails himself during his entire presidency.
  • In 2011, she directed her own staff to "avoid conducting official {State} Department business from your personal email accounts." OOOOPS!
  • She said she released 55,000 emails from her tenure as Secretary of State. Mark Steyn, a leading Canadian human rights activist, conservative and pundit, noted that would come out to about 38 emails per day. Interesting.  Does anyone believe the Secretary of State for the United States of America only averaged 38 emails per day? Nonsense.  In my experience as an executive, I would average 38 emails just during my lunch. Add texts to the equation and that claim is even more absurd.
That's just a small sampling of her apparent deceit and contradictions as they relate to this scandal. One can make an argument she was trying to hide her communications from Congress, investigators and even the White House.

The fact that this press conference was a total disaster does not help her quest to be the presidential candidate for the Democrat Party. This was on the heels of several other public missteps including proclaiming she and Bubba were dead broke, the failed roll-out of her last book and the disgraceful  "What difference, at this point, does it make" comment during her Benghazi testimony.

When one puts the entire packages together---the email scandal, a failed tenure as Secretary of State, and the countless scandals dating back to the 1990's, a rational and fair observer can only come to one conclusion: Hillary Clinton is really, really stupid and appears to be a compulsive liar.

Postscript: We've also learned that several trustees on the Foundation's board have criminal records (via NY Post). Also, the author of "Clinton Cash" recently reported that Clinton has yet to address or answer questions about the Foundation.  For example, why didn't her State Department explain why they approved the transfer of 20% of U.S. uranium to the Russian government. Also, the Foundation has released only 24 names of the secret foreign donors.

The Toxic Ideology of Modern Progressives: Intolerant, Racist And Anti-Semitic

"If America was a house, the left would root for the termites."...Greg Gutfeld, The Five

In 1987, there was a NY county prosecutor who was falsely charged with the abduction and rape of a 15 year old black girl. While he was cleared of the charges, his life was left in ruins including his career and marriage. The abduction and rape were later proven to be a hoax.

In 1991, a Jewish man accidentally ran over a black child. The child died at the scene of the accident. Following the child's death, race riots ensued and several Jews were injured and one was murdered. The leader of the marches referred to "diamond merchants" who lived in that area of NY City. That was code for Jews.

In 1995, people living in another section of NYC protested a retail mart. The protests eventually turned violent and the store was set on fire. Seven store employees died of smoke inhalation. The leader of the protests told the crowd: "We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper {the store owner} can expand his business."

In 2006, three Duke Lacrosse players were accused of rape. This case too proved to be a hoax. In fact, the DA in the case was later disbarred for dishonesty and fraud in the case. The same man involved in the three cases above went on television to defend the accuser.

And more recently, we watched as that same man fanned the flames in Ferguson as he and the progressive media perpetuated a myth.

This same man---Al Sharpton---has his own television "news" program on MSNBC. He's also considered by many to be a leader in the black progressive movement. So much for racial and religions tolerance.

In the last 5-6 decades, we've all been witness to the damage and misery imposed by the progressive political class on many of our major urban areas including, but not limited to, Chicago, Detroit, Camden, NJ, Newark, NJ, and countless others. Just as disturbing, it's the poor and disenfranchised who have to live in the wake of these warped progressive polices.

Currently, it's on many of the nation's liberal and progressive college and university campuses where anti-semitism is raging like an out-of-control California forest fire. Jewish students are intimidated as they are bombarded by pro-Palestinian and Islamist propaganda. In 2014 alone, there were almost 100 anti-Israel events on various university campuses across the nation. So much for religious tolerance.

Not long ago, members of the Congressional Black Caucus praised Castro and Cuban policies. These are the same people, including their ideological peers, who've knelt down at the altars of Castro, Che and the late Hugo Chavez. In other words, these very same people praised a dictatorship that's been accused of systematic human rights abuses from arbitrary imprisonment of political opponents to extrajudicial executions. Che was Castro's chief executioner. He hated gays and had many imprisoned. He burned thousands of books.  In addition, the regime set limits on the press, freedom of expression, freedom of movement and assembly. Repression under this regime has been rampant. Also, blacks in Cuba know if you raise the issue of race, you can face imprisonment. Recently, members of the progressive democrats---including the Congressional Black Caucus--- in Congress boycotted Netanyahu's speech in Congress. Yet it was Jews who were major players in the fight for civil rights during the 1960's. So much for racial, gender and religious tolerance.

Less than a decade ago, Bernard Harrison wrote an expose of the rise of anti-semitism on the left {"The Resurgence of Anti-Semitism..."}. Roger Gotlieb, an self-avowed leftist, wrote this review about the book and the rise of antisemitism: "Harrison brings a precise philosopher's intelligence the vexing, frightening, and at times disgusting phenomena of left-wing anti-semitism..."

The warped ideology of progressives is not only conspicuous but all too often, it's appreciated and even applauded in many circles of American society and culture. And that is very disturbing as well as very dangerous.

Selma: Yesterday's Uncomfortable Truths Vs. Today's Uncomfortable Truths

"A lie cannot live."..Martin Luther King, Jr.

In 1958, our family took a road trip to Florida. We lived in the Bronx. I was little lad at the time. Most of my friends were Hispanic and Black. Even at that young age,  I certainly knew about bigotry, racism and segregation. Much of that understanding was attributed to attending parochial Catholic school when history was actually taught and taught well. But nothing prepared me for what I personally witnessed in the South during that trip.

It didn't come to light for me until we reached Georgia. I recall seeing the separate water fountains and bathrooms for whites and blacks during the trip. For a guy growing up in NYC at the time, I thought we entered some weird part of America. We stopped at at one of those old gas stations (filling station as they were called then) to fuel up my uncle's sweet 1957, two-tone convertible Chevy. As soon as we pulled up, an attendant came to the car, greeted us and began fueling. He also washed the windows and checked the fluids. During the pit stop, we needed to get some food and something to drink. McDonald's were few and far between at that time. As I approached the rickety screen door of the station, an elderly black gentleman was also walking toward the door. Since I reached the door first, I held the screen door open for him. To this day, I can recall the look on his face. It was as if he were saying: "What the hell are you doing? You're not suppose to do that son." He bowed his head and went inside the station. It was at that precise moment when I understood what segregation was all about. That elderly black man taught me a lesson that has remained with me to this day.

That was a part of America before Martin Luther King, Jr. made his famous "I Have A Dream" speech in 1963 and seven years before the three Selma to Montgomery marches in 1965. Both exposed uncomfortable truths about America as well as its sins when it came to race relations.  And while it would be patently absurd to suggest racism is no longer a problem, it would be just as absurd to proclaim we have not made great strides in human dignity in the last five decades. The fact is America is a better nation today than it was yesterday. Today we even have a black president, a Black First Lady and some of the wealthiest Americans are black. In addition, there are also over 40 members of Congress who are black as well as over two dozen Hispanics and about 12 Asians. We're also living in a nation where minority participation in every aspect of our culture is well represented.

And the Selma march this weekend also exposed some uncomfortable truths. It was MLK himself who recognized the importance of empowerment versus dependence. Yet, it's the progressive component of our political system that has failed miserably in promoting MLK's legacy of self-determination and self-sufficiency. Just as disturbing, some of the black leadership today appears to remain in the hands of race-baiting thugs like Al Sharpton whose actions and behavior insult the memory of those thousands of Selma marchers and MLK. These are "leaders" who promote dependence rather than self-sufficiency---leaders who line their own pockets for financial gain and fame. Their behavior is a con of the worst kind---exploitation and personal enrichment. We've recently witnessed some of that same behavior in places like Ferguson. All these con artists continue to do is promote misery, anguish and dependence. And I haven't even touched on the failures of many of the public school systems as well as black-on-black crime and the unacceptable number of black children raised by one parent usually the mother (54% to over 70% in many areas of the country).

Just last week, several dozen Democrats boycotted Netanyahu's speech to Congress. Some of those were from the Congressional Black Caucus. The insult and absurdity of this childish action takes on more significance when one realizes Jews were some of the biggest supporters of black civil rights in the 1960's. As the Jewish Daily Forward pointed out even the film "Selma" distorted history by airbrushing out Jewish contributions to civil rights. Just as the NY Times did this past weekend by airbrushing out George W. Bush and Laura Bush from the march. I didn't.  Perhaps they've forgotten MLK's words about Israel: "The whole world must see that Israel exists and has a right to exist and is one of the great outposts of democracy in the world."

As I wrote last year, if Martin Luther King, Jr. were alive today, he would have many reasons to smile but also many reasons to cry and be disappointed with many in the Black community. After all it was MLK who also reminded us: "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." I can assure you---I will never remain silent. This is not 1955. It's 2015. Again, this great nation has made great strides in human dignity.
