What's Real Anymore? What's Happened To Truth? Do Facts Even Matter?

This wouldn't have happened if only murder were illegal...Razor's Tweet

It was 1988. I traveled to Poland to visit my parents.  It was my first visit since they retired to Poland two years earlier. Both my parents and my two uncles (on my dad's side) spent most of the war years in Poland imprisoned in labor camps. Dad was the shortest of his two brothers. (As a child in 1920's Chicago, he was run over by a drunk driver in a truck and both of his femurs were broken.) But, like his brothers, he was a little bad ass. He managed to escape three prison camps, the last time working on a Germany military vehicle delivering sausage to German troops. He jumped out of the rear of the truck, and took off like a jack rabbit never to be caught again . (Before he jumped out of that truck, he threw sausage and jelly on to the town's streets. People were hungry.) My two uncles were released in a prisoner exchange program. Returned to the U.S. and were immediately drafted. Frank was sent to the Pacific theater while Cass remained stateside.

Several weeks after arriving, we took a trip to the Auschwitz concentration camp. We walked through the camp for several hours.  I saw tons and tons of human hair behind glass enclosures. Same for eyeglasses. Hundreds of suitcases as well with names marking their previous owners. The "shower" rooms where thousands were gassed. The wall where thousands were executed--Poles, Jews, gays, Gypsies and a host of other poor souls.  As we were leaving the camp, I looked back and saw that infamous sign over the entrance that read (translated): "Work Shall Set You Free." It was then when I had to ask myself: This can't be real? But it was. It was also then when I converted to being a conservative. I realized appeasement and political correctness were bullshit. It all to often led to the death of innocents. It took more courage to be politically incorrect.

Skipping to the future, I'm asking myself the same question although the circumstances---not as serious as what concentration camp victims and survivors faced, are certainly as important. Perhaps, in some cases, as with what is happening to the victims of ISIS, al-Qaeda and Boko Haram, just as brutal and terrorizing.

In the last eight years, we have an American administration that just doesn't appear to be able to tell the truth about most things. We have two political parties that are unable to agree on anything---for the sake of the Republic. We have a political class that continues to exploit and inflame poor communities.  We have a presidential candidate in Hillary Clinton who has more scandals in her wake than Richard Nixon. We have men who are trying to convince us they're women and a prominent white women who want us to believe she's black. We've had several mass shootings of innocents that---all too often---open the gates to political pandering instead of focusing on the truth and facts. We have a main stream media that can't stop pretending they are honest, credible and ethical. And while we should mourn those murdered in those mass shootings, where is the outrage for the mass murders committed in our nation's cities each and every day? When will the black community come to terms with this very same slaughter---this holocaust of their own instead of always placing blame on others? In other words, when will we admit that all lives matter? Throughout the world, we've witnessed the promise of "Never Again" transformed to "Over and Over Again."

I can go on with a host of other examples. In all of these and more, we should be asking ourselves: What they hell do we believe in anymore? Who the hell do we believe in anymore? Is anything real? What happened to the truth? Do facts even matter?

Questions I'm certain many of us are having a hard time answering today.

The Aftermath Of The Charleston Shooting: Let The Exploitation Begin + The Idiotic First Instincts

Don't jump to conclusions that  Ft. Hood was terrorism, but within hours the DOJ is investigating the Charleston shooting as a hate crime...Razor's Tweet

By now, we should know the reaction to mass shootings is predictable.  After such a tragedy and atrocity as the one last night in Charleston, S.C., the most reasonable among us ask that we pray for the victims.  But as soon as the condolences are over (and, more often than not, sooner), the exploitation begins.

Gun control activists---like Pres. Obama this afternoon---immediately demand more gun control neglecting the responsibility rests with the shooter. And the media and Left can't wait to politicize the tragedy by blaming those on the Right. For example, a knucklehead writing for Salon immediately after the Boston Marathon bombing wrote, "Let's hope the Boston Marathon bomber is a white American."What kind of sick nitwit would write such a thing?

But it happened again. The editor for Daily Beast couldn't help exploiting this most recent shooting. He Tweeted this: "Gunman killed more people last night in America than every ISIS wannabe." It's an idiotic first instinct. If you recall, after the shootings in Colorado two years ago, Brian Ross of ABC News speculated it had to be the work of a Tea Party member.

Even Pres. Obama had to grasp for lie when he stated today, "Gun violence like this doesn't happen in other countries." I guess he forgot the mass shooting in 2011 when a lunatic in Oslo, Norway, murdered 77 young people at a Youth League event. And one doesn't even have to reach that far into history. The Charlie Hebdo shooting in Paris took place in January of this year. Once again, a politician exploiting a massacre for political reasons.

And even more disturbing, it's being reported Al Sharpton is on his way to Charleston. No doubt, a check is waiting for him.

Furthermore, it would be refreshing and welcomed to witness this type of outrage over Christians and many Muslims being exterminated throughout the Middle East. But all we hear is white noise.

Just once, let's grieve for the victims without casting blame. Let's once stop the exploitation and focus on the real reasons for mass shootings---largely due to individuals with mental health issues. Let's once say a few prayers first.

Hillary Clinton Channels Eva Peron

Hillary Clinton has joined Instagram. Meanwhile, her Democratic opponent Bernie Sanders joined telegram...Seth Myers

If you're a regular reader of my work, you know I'm not a big fan of Hillary Clinton. But who is anymore? Polls show she can't be trusted. Democrats are concerned when they they gaze at their bench and only see Bernie Sanders. Her record of corruption, incompetence and deceit is taking its toll even on many of her supporters. Nevertheless, she still has a D after her name, and she is a she unless there is something she's been withholding all these years.

She's also Obama in a creepy pants suit. She wasn't always that far left (although she admitted she was a progressive). She's added new meaning to the phrase "flip-flop." She supported the War in Iraq. She took a hard stance against illegal immigration when she said she did not support driver's licenses for "undocumented people." She changed her position on same-sex marriage.

Her second campaign launch on Roosevelt Island last week took a populist turn even though many found much of it pure hypocrisy. For example, the woman who makes up to $350K per speech and has over $100M in the bank  now wants us to believe she will target income inequality and the rich. As one observer remarked: "Hillary becoming a populist is like Derek Jeter coming back to play for the Red Sox. It doesn't feel right and no one will believe it."

Remarkably, she's said very little about foreign policy considering she's the former Secretary of State. But there might be a good reason. Her "reset" button with Putin ended up with Russia invading the Ukraine and now threatening a massive military buildup to counter NATO and the U.S.

She even managed to channel Eva Peron, the former First Lady of Argentina, when she said, "Prosperity must be built, shared by all." Perhaps she was also channeling the late Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. The outcome of his socialist policies left a nation without toilet paper.

But even more disturbing were the most recent revelations about the Clinton Foundation. Deroy Murdock, a Fox News contributor, reported last week that several Foundation trustees are convicted criminals largely for corruption, bribery, witness-tampering and fraud.

I can see Clinton singing: "They are illusions. They are not solutions they promised to be. The answer was here all the time. I love you and hope you love me. Don't cry for me America."  No Hillary, many of us will be crying if you become the next president of the U.S.

Postscript: As of this posting, the FBI is now investigating her emails specifically re: classified information. Question: When will we see a Grand Jury? Right now, she's getting away with this crap.

I'm Coming Out As A Male Lesbian Trapped In A Heterosexual Body---There I Feel Much Better Now

Dolezal: FAKE BLACK
Jenner: FAKE WOMAN
Warren: FAKE INDIAN
Hillary: Authentic champion for the poor...Razor's Tweet

I'm officially on the back-side of my life, a Baby-Boomer. But I can't live this particular lie any longer. I'm officially proclaiming myself a male lesbian. That's right. I've been trapped in this heterosexual body my entire life.  Of course, my coming out, poses many challenges. For example, what do I now tell my girlfriend? Do I contact all the women I've dated in my entire life and admit: hey, I've been living a lie? If my parents were still alive---what they hell would I tell them? Obviously, they never knew. And after telling them, how would they react? Both were from the Greatest Generation---old school.

All of this is obviously absurd. But is it as irrational and preposterous as someone who is white telling the world they are really black? Even more disturbing, this Rachel Dolezal not only lived this lie but even scammed the NAACP. She managed to get herself appointed president of the NAACP's Spokane chapter. (Her resignation was reported in the last hour. Her statement started with this: "While challenging the construct of race is at the core of human consciousness...Say what?). Her adopted brother said her transformation was akin to wearing "blackface." He's right.

Ms. Delezal living this lie should surprise no one. This comes on the high-heels of Bruce Jenner proclaiming himself a woman even though he's not. (Feel free to read my impressions of Jenner and Clinton in my 6/4/15 piece entitled: "Clinton and Jenner Appeal To Those Who Should Be Still Living In Trees.").

But these are just a few examples of how warped our culture and politics have evolved in recent years. We currently have a president who was re-elected with one of the worst legacies in the history of this great Republic. And we now have another progressive Democrat---Hillary Clinton---who many believe should actually be president. This is an individual who continues to refuse to answer many important questions regarding her Foundation.  In fact, just this past weekend, Deroy Murdock, a Fox News contributor and a genuine Black man, reported that no less than five Clinton Foundation board members (trustees) either have very shady backgrounds or have been criminally convicted.

As Dinesh D'Souza wrote recently: "...Her case exposes the foolishness of liberal identity politics..." But, as I've written about in the past, identity politics is just one of the weapons in the arsenal of the progressive political class. Others include, but are not limited to, intolerance and racism.

Ms. Dolezal will no doubt become some type of celebrity. After all, as a Tweet by Elton James White expressed well: "I feel terrible for #RachelDolezal. Her face is everywhere. How's she ever going to move on? Oh right. Wash her face and take her wig off."

In the meantime, I'll remain a proud male lesbian.
