You Can Hear Hillary Clinton Whispering To Herself: WTF Happened?

Before I begin my main points, I have to share this observation.  Pundits and others are obsessing about Trump's tax returns. Yet, when it comes to Al Sharpton failing to pay his taxes---not so much.

Hillary Clinton can't be too happy today.  A new Rasmussen Poll shows Trump at 42% to Clinton's 37% in national  general election. In addition, a recent Fox News poll has Trump at 42% and Clinton at 39%.

In the event you missed it,   Bernie supporters rioted at the Nevada Democratic Convention last Saturday. Bernie's minions felt the rules of the convention were "fixed" and the process is "rigged." Supporters were so livid, they booed Sen. Barbara Boxer (she supports Clinton and she's not considered too bright anyway). 

Moreover, many democrats are scratching their heads. Not only due to Bernie's surge but also to how poor a campaign Clinton is running.  If you recall, it was Clinton who said, "We're going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business."  Why would any presidential candidate make such a mindless and foolish statement---especially knowing she would be campaigning in coal country?  Of course, we now know she's collected millions in donations from Wall Street big shots---the very class of people many democrats purport to despise? Recall Occupy Wall Street?

As The New York Post  pointed out not long ago: "Hillary Clinton stands for 'whatever happens to serve her needs at the moment---with her so-called principles sure to change the instant her needs do'"

The good news is that more Americans---even many democrats---are starting to catch on to her con.  The bad news is that she will most likely be the dem candidate for president depending on the FBI's investigation.

But we can be sure of one thing. After these weeks of bad news,  Clinton must be whispering to herself: WTF happened?

Failure Is An Option----For Progressives

My regular readers might recall a piece I posted about two years ago summarizing the intent of the NYC Council Speaker, Melissa Mark-Viverito, to lobby for the release of Puerto Rican domestic terrorists (FALN). They were responsible for over 100 bombings that resulted in the death of six people and wounding about over 100. They also attacked NYPD headquarters in 1982.

So it didn't come as any surprise to me that Bernie Sanders urged Pres. Obama to offer clemency to Oscar Lopez Rivera.  Who is Oscar Rivera? He was the founder of the FALN. In fact, in 1999, then Pres. Bill Clinton offered clemency to many of the former FALN members.  Rivera turned down Clinton's offer of clemency. And it should surprise no one that NYC, under Marxist sympathizer Mayor DeBlasio, is currently facing charges of corruption. Just as disturbing,  almost 1800 weapons have been confiscated in the city's public schools in the last 10 months---an increase of 25%.  On a daily basis, we're seen progressive failures in many of the cities they mismanage. Oh! And one more issue you likely missed because many in the media failed to report on it extensively.   The Obama administration wants to do away with terms like "felons" and "criminals." Rather, they want those individuals to be designated as "justice-involved individuals."  And then there's the recent decrees from Obama to all public schools to allow all transgender students to use the bathroom that matches their "gender identity."  This directive was made with no input from the parents of public school children.

These are examples of domestic policies illustrating the toxicity of progressive ideology. We've witnessed Obama's foreign policy failures in Syria (erasing red lines only to be replaced by red lines soaked in blood) and Libya (Benghazi especially), In addition, Putin keeps flipping Obama the bird (Russian aircraft buzzing our naval vessels), Iran does the same making a joke of the Iran Deal (and we learned 2 weeks ago from one of Obama's foreign policy advisors that the Iran Deal was a deception upon the American public and the press). We learned the same about Obamacare from one of his advisors.  And even China gave Obama the finger last February by deploying new missile systems on one of its man-made islands in the South China Sea. In short, these foreign policy failures show that Mr. Obama is more concerned about his legacy than about the national security of our nation.

Yet, too many Americans fall for these scams. How else can one explain the same progressive politicians being re-elected over and over again? Even Hillary Clinton-whose legacy is more stained that Monica's blue dress-is still running for the nation's highest office.  Revisiting the late Christopher Hitchens, he reminded us that the progressive political class plays the same shell game on Americans and laughing as we all fall for it---again. The Political Establishment Is Adept At Double-Crossing Its Constituents

Abe Lincoln was very prescient. He knew well the political class was good at fooling the people some of the time and some of the people all the time.  He also knew all of the people could not be fooled all of the time (the only exception is the low information crowd who manages to be fooled almost all the time---especially by the progressive political class.  We're watching this being played out by those who currently support Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders).

Of all political races in my lifetime, this one clearly proves "you cannot fool all of the people all the time."  It's one of the reasons why Trump has done so well (I know. I know. Some will argue he fits Lincoln's adage too.  The difference, in my opinion, is about the people who are fed up with both political parties always flipping them the bird. The political establishment is adept at double-crossing its constituents).

In particular, the deceit by the political establishment runs deep.  Just last week, we found out the Obama administration deceived the American people and the media with the Iran Deal. We already know too well the deception involving Obamacare because one of its designers, Jonathan Gruber, admitted just that less than two years ago.

But now I believe we are witnessing something even more disturbing.  Republican elites who have openly admitted the would rather vote for Hillary Clinton than Donald Trump.  Countless other Republicans said they would not vote for Trump even against Hillary Clinton. (Sources: Time, Fortune and Yahoo News).  This posture on the part of these Republicans might change in the coming months especially on what Paul Ryan decides to do (he met with Trump last week).
And while I've never been a big Trump fan during this campaign, I believe the mission of the Republican Party should be to defeat Hillary Clinton---even if that means voting for Donald Trump.

I will also ad this. If you are a Republican who decides to vote for Hillary Clinton, all you need to do is look into your rear view mirror. It's one of the reasons we've had eight years of Obama. Millions of Republican voters decided to stay at home in 2012. The outcome was four more years of an Obama administration.  If you're fine with a Hillary Clinton administration beginning next January, don't bitch and whine.  You're weeping will fall upon deaf ears.
