"For love of country they accepted death." James A. Garfield
- Before I begin the political news, let's take a moment to reflect on those brave and heroic men and women who died in service of this great nation. Please take a moment to visit Dedicated to Heroes at http://dedicatedtoheroes.blogspot.com/ where we observed Memorial Day.
- Lest we forget, we should also reflect on those who we will never know who gave their lives fighting in the War on Terror. I chose the image of the CIA Memorial above that best signifies those warriors who fought and died in the shadows.
- How often is it said that we label so many individuals as "heroes" when they are so undeserving of that honor. I refer, of course, to the many times we've designated celebrities and athletes as heroes. Yet, several guests on MSNBC decided to question true heroism this past weekend. It should not come as any surprise with so many slugs on that network. But it appears many on MSNBC have no shame (Al Sharpton comes immediately to mind. Any network that gives a fake, phony and fraud like Sharpton his own show should be avoided at all costs). I refer to Chris Hayes. Fortunately, that name probably does not ring a bell to most Americans. Nevertheless, he is a spokesperson for that despicable network. He said, "I feel uncomfortable, ah, uncomfortable about the word {heroes} because it seems to me that it is so rhetorically proximate to justifications for more war...maybe I'm wrong about that." No, Mr. Hayes, you're an asshole about that. You and your ilk are first-class yo-yo's. And you don't even recognize that so many shed their blood so you can go on national TV and make a complete ass out of yourself. For that, we should probably be thankful.
- I think I'll leave this to someone who left on comment on NewsBusters to this dummy's remarks: "...my middle finger, upraised."
- And many other blogs have weighed in on trashing this prick. For example, Kurt Schlichter of Breitbart wrote and referring to the dumbass phrase, "so rhetorically proximate to justifications for more war..," Schlichter replied the MSNBC host sounds like "one of my commie grad students trying to impress credulous freshmen girls..."
- Ann Coulter Tweeted, "Marines respond by protecting his right to menstruate."
- For months, we've been hearing the Left proclaim that most veterans support Pres. Obama (they also say that about active duty service personnel, but they have no way of substantiating that claim). But Gallup did with veterans. The most recent Gallup Poll out this weekend reports that Romney leads Obama among vets (13% of the adult population) by 58-34%.
- "The Religion of Peace Update" Considering Lady GaGa had to cancel her concert in Indonesia, perhaps even she now understands that Islamic radicals would have no problem chopping her head off.
- With Memorial Day activities this entire week, you might have missed Slo Joe Biden making an ass out of himself yet again. Last week, at another campaign stop in Ohio, Biden proclaimed rich people like Romney don't understand "us" {referring to himself as being in the struggling working class). So I thought it might be appropriate to look at this "working class" guy. He's been a U.S. Senator since 1973. He attended one of the nation's elite private high schools in Delaware, Archmere Academy. He attended the University of Delaware and then went on to law school at Syracuse. While in college, he received five student deferments. He began practicing law in 1969. He practiced Corporate Law. His tax returns show he's a cheapskate when it comes to charitable contributions. Hey, he's just a working class kind of guy. Wikipedia and Forbes
