Vice President Biden said Romney's economic policies were "George Bush on steroids." As opposed to Pres. Obama's policies which are "Jimmy Carter on Ambien."...Leno
- After criticizing Romney for lacking cajones, he came out with both barrels blazing. He spoke at the NAACP annual convention this week and pulled no punches. Even though he was booed by much of the audience when he vowed to repeal ObamaCare, he didn't back down. In fact, he doubled-down. Romney also said he's giving them the same message about ObamaCare he's giving to the rest of the nation: that it's killing jobs.
- He also told the attendees Obama has failed the black community, pointing out correctly the unemployment rate among African-Americans is now 14.6%. The rate has actually increased during Obama's tenure as president. And Romney didn't stop there either. He reminded the crowd black children are floundering in a second-class education system. He said, "Black children are 17% of students nationwide but...42% of the students in our worst performing schools."
- He also won applause from the crowd when he talked about the violence in black communities and reminded the crowd the "family" is the key institution.
- Even though the knee-pad media were obsessed with Romney being booed, the fact is he was given more applause than expressions of disapproval.
- On the other hand, Slo Joe Biden did his usual pandering to the NAACP crowd bringing up the usual class warfare rhetoric. In fact, he actually said imagine what the Romney Justice Department would look like. An amazing and truly disturbing statement considering Eric Holder is Obama's head of the Justice Department. By the way, when Slo Joe spoke, the room was largely empty.
- I wonder if anyone asked Pres. Obama why he didn't attend the convention.
- And more evidence Romney has a set, his campaign is now calling the Obama campaign liars especially regarding the attack on outsourcing. That's good, because they are lying. Gallup is also reporting this week that 75% of American voters say Romney's wealth would not affect their vote.
- USA TODAY had a piece today reporting on Romney's donors largely come from finance. Funny thing, the paper made no mention that the disgraced former Senator of New Jersey, Jon Corzine, raised over $500 grand for Obama's campaign. Corzine is a former CEO of Goldman Sachs. He's also the former CEO of MF Global, a firm being currently investigated for millions of dollars in missing customer funds.
- Denise Richards is another long-time Democrat fundraiser. She's the wife of Marc Rich. He was pardoned by Bill Clinton because he was a convicted tax cheat. Coincidentally, she donated $450,000 to the Clinton library in Little Rock. She recently renounced he American citizenship. She does not want to pay American taxes. Remember folks, these are the same people who want US to pay more taxes.
- It's unanimous. The top television moment was the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The was followed by Hurricane Katrina, OJ murder trial, the Challenger disaster and the whacking of Osama bin Laden. Nieslon Ratings
- One of the major reasons many states are against ObamaCare's medicaid expansion has to do with simple economics. Governors know that the flow of government money will eventually come to end sticking them with the mandate. In addition, many like Texas Governor Rick Perry, point out it's an intrusion into state sovereignty. I agree.
