• Quick! What major bridge did Occupy Wall Street block? Don't know. Then look it up. It will point out the complete absurdity regarding this entire episode. For all those critics out there who don't know: The George Washington Bridge has insane traffic almost 24/7. Even with three closed lanes, it still has almost a dozen lanes left on both levels. From personal experience, while growing up in the Bronx decades ago, the GWB always had annoying traffic before the second level was built in the early 1960's. In other words, the additional lanes made little difference. One of the main reasons has to do with the inbound lanes bleeding into the Cross Bronx Expressway, a perpetual parking lot. One still makes sure there's a empty bottle in the vehicle to pee in when the crossing the bridge inbound. 
• Let's put the truth on the table regarding this entire Bridgegate episode. As I wrote in a previous post regarding this ridiculous "scandal" last week ("When You Embrace Progressives and Presstitutes, It's Like Feeding A White Shark Out Of The Cage"), I quoted John Noble of Breitbart who pointed out the real reason for the media's predatory behavior while Christie was still in the middle of his press conference: "Media wants Christie to stop {talking} so they can go on CNN and MSNBC and continue to destroy him."
• But pull up on those reins for a moment. During the height of the presstitutes  perseverating on Bridgegate, guess what strange phenomena was taking place in the rest of America? Pew Research reported that the public paid little attention to the alleged scandal. Their polls found out that 44% of the public were more concerned about---the cold weather. That was followed by the economy at 28%. So how many Americans paid attention to Bridgegate?---a whopping 18%. And it didn't end there. Pew also found out that the public views of Christie were largely unchanged. OOOPS!
• So why do they (the presstitutes and progressives)  want to destroy him?---Only one name comes to mind: Hillary Clinton. As I've also written about in the past, the media and progressives have been wrapping Hillary in bubble wrap for years. She continues to be the presumed front runner for the Democrat nomination in 2016.

When Pres. Obama Bumps Into The Constitution---He Just Shoves It Aside

• "But one of the things I'll be emphasizing at this meeting {Cabinet meeting} is the fact that we are not going to be waiting for legislation in order to make sure that we are providing Americans the kind of help they need. I've got a pen and I've got a phone."
• That's a quote directly from Pres. Obama to his Cabinet yesterday. In other words, this president decided he will now make laws not Congress.
• For those who need a short history lesson on the Constitution, you should know one of the primary purposes of the Constitution is to limit big government. The government only has those powers delegated to it by the people. The articles and amendments to the Constitution create a limited federal government. It also has Articles that lists the powers of Congress, of the Executive Branch and the Judiciary. They've all been designed to assure checks and balances---these were written to provide for limited federal powers and abuses by the government.

• In the past five years, this president has amended laws on matters such as gun control, immigration, energy and climate and Obamacare.
• More recently, we've watched this president change Obamacare by mandating exemptions to the law as well as mandating one delay after another without actual legislation.
• And while the presstitutes in the media are obsessed with George Washington Bridge lane closures, they've spent little time on the political profiling by the IRS---largely targeting Tea Party Groups and other conservative groups including those that support Israel. In fact, with Bridgegate, the media has given it 17 times or more coverage than the IRS scandal.
• Concerning the Fast and Furious scandal, the Obama administration exerted his executive privilege over documents related to the scandal. Subsequently, Eric Holder, the highest law enforcement official in the nation, was held in contempt of Congress.

• The Onion could have written that headline several years ago for the Obama administration and its enablers in the media. Fortunately, more Americans now know they've been deceived on a number of fronts from Obamacare to domestic polices to foreign policies to countless broken promises.
• Yet, even with all of this evidence, the Obama administration and the political class continue to play 3 Card Monty with Americans. And, like those who play 3 Card Monty on the sidewalks of the nation's urban areas, those Americans still remain suckers.

• Starting with the 2008 campaign and continuing into the 2013 campaign, Obama and the political class were still able to con many Americans including those who voted for them. For example, many of the poor voted for Obama, yet poverty remains at some of the highest levels in our history (Heritage reported that 100M Americans receive aid from the government at an average cost per recipient of $9,000. That's 100M people out of a population of almost 317M. Heritage also reported we've spent over $21T on the "War on Poverty." In the 1960's, 24% of black women had children outside of marriage. Today that number is close to 70%. We know the consequences of broken families. The outcome is often poverty ).  But the con game with poverty isn't with how much we're spending but how we're spending it. Jonah Golberg of National Review recently pointed out that those in poverty over 50 years ago actually were no strangers to hunger. Today, one of the biggest problems facing the poor is: obesity.
• Most blacks voted for Obama as their unemployment rate remains twice that of whites. As reported last week by the Department of Labor, we now have 92M Americans who have dropped out of the workforce---numbers we have not seen in decades. In addition, of those who are employed, many are now working part-time jobs. In other words, it's become a part-time employment economy. And many of those young voters who voted for Obama are now faced with trying to lasso good jobs (1 in 2 can't), but they also are burdened with high premiums under Obamacare as well as bone-crushing college loan debt.
• Another classic bait and switch example includes the debate over raising the minimum wage. While the progressive political class keeps lecturing us on how important it is to raise it, only 3% of the entire workforce earns a minimum wage. Moreover, half of those earning minimum wage are students and part-time employees from households with average incomes of $53,000. (George Will).
• Over the last 5 years, we've seen this con game played out with Obamacare, the debt ceiling, the government shutdown, Benghazi, the IRS, the NSA, with foreign policy (especially regarding Syria) and in broken promises.
• Yet---all too often---many Americans continue to pick the wrong playing card---they continue playing a game they cannot win.

Postscript: since this was posted, Obama administration policies have hurt Blacks, Hispanics, young people and single women the most---the very same voting blocks that voted for him overwhelmingly.
