Trump vs. Ramos: Trump Won Every Round

Unless you're living in a cave, you watched as Univision's Jorge Ramos tried to confront Donald Trump at an Iowa press conference yesterday by interrupting Trump's presser.  Ramos was escorted out by security but later returned and Trump took his questions. In summary, Trump cleaned Jorge's clock as he's done to most of the media in the last several months.

The event was very revealing on several levels.

Ramos envisions himself as a journalist and reporter. He's neither. Many will also describe him as an advocate for human rights. The fact is he's a activist for illegal immigrants (I'm a legal immigrant myself). In fact, his daughter works for the Hillary Clinton campaign. As Breitbart News pointed out last month, Ramos is also a conspicuous hypocrite. They pointed out he's a "skillful liar and propagandist" who "pretends to care deeply about fellow Mexicans, when the truth is that in exchange for fame, wealth and political power, Ramos abandoned almost 120 million of them" They continued: "There is no other way to describe a man who abandoned his own country and sold his soul for a career that encourages his own people to make a dangerous trek through a treacherous desert led by coyote criminals and rapists." 

And that's the difference between that fake, phony and fraud and Donald Trump. Trump's love for America is conspicuous. ( And no, as I've written in many previous posts, I have not endorsed Trump. As an independent conservative myself, he's got a long way to go to convince me he belongs in the Oval Office). 

On yet another level, the presser showed clearly that Trump is willing to play hardball with the press and media while many in the Republican Party still play T-ball. The presser made it increasing clear that the progressive media class just keeps tripping over their own stupidity, a fact I've written about on numerous occasions. This is a media who continues to pretend it's honest, credible and ethical. But, as most polls report, Americans know that's bullshit especially after 8 years of fawning over an administration in Washington that has plunged the nation into progressive hell. In addition, it's a media that perpetuates falsehoods as we witnessed in Ferguson last year. And Jorge Ramos is just one reflection of many of today's media.

I have no way of predicting how long Trump's run will last. But I do know this---as each day passes---more Americans are enjoying the ride. Or as Ronald Reagan famously once said: "If you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat." Trump knows when to turn the burners on---HIGH. 

Americans To The Rescue---Again!

By now, most of the nation knows the story.  U.S.A.F. Airman Spence Stone, Guardsman Alek Skarlatos and their friend, Anthony Sadler, took down a gunman brandishing an AK-47 as he prepared to assault passengers on a Paris-bound train. Most observers agree, the three Americans most likely prevented a massacre.

The American heroes were recipients of the France's highest honor---The Legion of Honor---yesterday. In addition, Airman Stone will be awarded the U.S.A.F Airman's Medal, it's highest non-combat honor. Even after the terrorist almost cut off Stone's thumb with a box-cutter, the airman provided emergency first aid to another passenger whose neck was bleeding profusely. He saved the man's life.

Once again,  the United States proves to be the greatest nation that's ever existed on earth. And while this claim will always make America's critics feel miserable (unfortunately even those living in America), the facts back up this assertion. The examples are countless but many stand out more than others. For example:

• It's Americans who are usually the first responders to many areas of the globe when disasters strike. In many cases, it's our military.
• The United States, on more than one occasion throughout history, saved the world from tyranny. Not only have we witnessed this in recently conflicts, but the aftermath of WWI, WWII and the Cold War prove conclusively America was at the head of those spears. In addition, it was America that lifted even our former enemies out of post-war chaos. To this day, these countries haven't even repaid the billions of dollars we provided for the assistance in rebuilding their nations.
• On the heels of America's providing assistance to even our former enemies, post WWII and Cold War nations are now free nations including S. Korea and almost all of the former Eastern European block nations that were under the jack-book of Communism for decades.
• The United States also has a proud and noble legacy of helping others defend themselves. We have a long history of global leadership knowing full well that such a strategy also ensures our own security and safety.
• The number of people America helped liberate is virtually immeasurable. But you can be sure it's in the hundreds of millions.

Americans know that courage can often be contagious especially when Americans are involved. And that is why we will always need America on that wall. Now if only Mr. Obama and progressives would heed this lesson.

With Biden Considering Running, The Bench For Democrats Resembles a Recycle Bin

Those that follow me regularly know I've often refered to Joe Biden as "Slo Joe." As much as I have a great deal of sympathy for his family tragedies over the years, all too often his political legacy resembles an SNL skit.

But Biden is just a reflection of the current state of the Democrat Party. In the last several weeks, rumors have been floated hinting Al Gore, John F. Kerry and Elizabeth Warren might also enter the race. This has largely been due to Hillary Clinton's campaign imploding. In particular, a majority of Americans now find her untrustworthy and a pathological liar. In addition, her high unfavorability polls now have Democrats in a frenzy searching for other options. 

But the bench for the Democrats resembles a recycle bin.  Al Gore had his shot. He lost. And then went on to lose his frigging mind. John F. Kerry will always remain a back-stabbing, pompous fool as we've witnessed in one foreign policy failure after another. Mind you. This is the guy who negotiated an Iran Deal that allows Iran to monitor itself. The logic behind such a negotiation is both warped and perverted---and very dangerous. Add Elizabeth Warren--an unabashed progressive and another fake, phony and fraud, to the mix and the resulting concoction is a swill of some really, really disturbing human beings. Keep in mind, Bernie Sanders, an avowed socialist, is actually giving Hillary Clinton a run for her corrupt money.

Having said all this, one still has to be skeptical of the Republicans. After all, this is the party that lost the last election to a president with one of the worst legacies in American history. This is also the party that promised to roll back almost everything Obama has done in the last 7 years. Instead, Obama rolled them over and over again from ObamaCare to illegal immigration to their failure in stopping his distressing and weak foreign policy. And Obama did this while Republicans hold all the power in Washington.

Nevertheless, John Podhoretz, a nationally syndicated commentator and conservative, expressed all of this best in a recent piece when he wrote: "Bernie? Biden? Please. Once Hillary implodes, Dems have no one who isn't a kook to take her place."
