Retiring Famous Cricket Player To Hang Up Knee Things, Paddle Bat Things...The Onion's Sports.

  • How insane is all of this nonsense about Romney and Bain Capital? This is insane. We're suppose to be more annoyed and angry about what Romney did with his own money or investors' money that what Obama has done with OUR money? Give me a break. We have an administration that follows the definition of insanity by doing the same thing over and over again that has not worked yet expecting a different outcome.
  • "...think 8.2% unemployment for more than three years amid rising debt and deficits-a true leader accepts the need to try a different course. Only a zealot, blinded by ideology or indifference would insist on more of the same."... Michael Goodwin, NY Post
  • Moreover, don't you find it interesting that rich people are bashing rich people?

  • Last week it was reported that 80,000 jobs were created in June. It was a pathetic number. But it was actually worse than that. Of those 80,000 jobs, about 25,000 were only part-time jobs. Manpower, a job-service company, reported only 30% of their temporary workers found full-time employment this year. In 2011, 45% found full-time employment. And they are trying to convince us that things are improving. What a bunch of crap!
  • If you're a small business owner, you might be surprised to learn that Pres. Obama thinks you didn't get there on your own. He said, "Look, if you're successful, you don't get their on your own..." Only someone who knows absolutely nothing about growing your own business would say something so damn stupid. Yo, Mr. President, with all due respect: most businesses are successful because of their own hard work IN SPITE OF GOVERNMENT OVER-REACH! It's another indication of the less productive in society bashing the more productive.

  • Breaking News now on ABC: U.S. Navy ship fired on an approaching vessel in the Persian Gulf.

  • Rep./DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and some other political women are in Philadelphia today to mobilize women support for Obama. They will no doubt be proclaim the fake and phony claim Republicans are waging a "War on Women." Let me ask readers a simple question: Who have been the highest profile Republicans in the last 4 years? I'll answer that for you. It's been the likes of Palin, Bachmann, and Nikki Haley (Gov. of South Carolina). And if you add pundits, you have Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Elizabeth Hasselback, Megyn Kelly, Andrea Tantaros (The Five on Fox) and dozens more (by the way, all are babes too).
  • Remember that creepy fundraising scheme the Obama campaign unleashed several weeks ago asking couples to request campaign donations from their guests in lieu of wedding gifts? Well, it's a bust. So far, the wedding registry, has been ignored. I guess there are a lot less stupid people in American than I thought.

  • Regular readers know I refer to the Arab Spring as a myth created by our media. It appears Hillary Clinton got a taste of the myth this weekend. During her visit to Egypt, she was greeted with crowds throwing tomatoes and shoes at her and shouting, "Monica, Monica."

  • You've probably heard by now that the uniforms to be worn by our Olympic athletes were made in China. If that's not bad enough, I like Andrea Peyser's observations. She wrote, "Pricey, effeminate and decidedly weird, the Ralph Lauren-designed duds include blazers with Ralph's signature horse logos. Each is topped by a Frenchfried beret, more appropriate for flight attendants..."

  • The Democrat controlled  Senate, led by that nitwit, Harry Reid, failed to pass a budget again. It's the third year in a row the United States government---saddled with unsustainable debt---has not passed a budget. In other words, the U.S. Senate is failing in its basic duty. They should be ashamed of themselves.
  • How close could this election be? This close. The Washington Post/ABC Poll last week had Obama and Romney tied at 47%.  And their electoral votes: 269 to 269.
  • Two weeks ago, The Today Show dumped Ann Curry. They replaced her with someone named Savannah Guthrie. Since they made that move, Good Morning America has been beating them in the ratings. Perhaps the problem is not with the female anchors. Perhaps they should look at dumping the guys. They can start with Matt Lauer.
