John Boehner, who is Speaker of the House, is super tan, he cries and he drinks. He should be Speaker of the "Jersey Shore" house...Kimmel
- I thought I'd present what's happening in the economy today in a way many can understand. I called it "The Obama Formula for Failure." It's simple really. It goes like this: The Obama Formula for Failure: Taxes+ObamaCare=Uncertainty=Paralysis=No Hiring. This formula clearly shows why most companies, especially small companies, are not hiring.
- I believe if the Obama administration was really serious about turning this economy around, they would follow this Formula for Success: -Taxes-ObamaCare=Certainty=Jobs Creation. It's really that simple.
- Breaking news on Breitbart: Obama also took money from Bain Capital. Yet, you cannot find this story in the knee-pad media. How convenient.{Breitbart: "Obama Took Cash From Bain Outsourcing Execs."}
- In keeping with Obama's formula for failure, I couldn't help pondering if any other president ever served his constituency so poorly. As reported last week, black unemployment is approaching unemployment rates in some Euro countries. Ditto for unemployment in the Hispanic community. Even one of his main constituencies from the last election---younger, college age voters---have not been served well with 1 in 2 unable to find a job. Add to this,: their struggle with mounting student debt. In fact more students are carrying debt from college than have full-time jobs.
- Just this week, a Gallup poll found that young voters appear uninterested in this up-coming election. According to Gallup, only 58% of registered young voters (18-29) said they will "definitely" vote this fall. That's like asking an "undecided" voter who they will vote for. For example, ask someone who is going through a rough marriage if they plan on getting a divorce. If they say they are undecided, it means they will file for a divorce.
- In an earlier post this week, I wrote it appeared Romney actually has a set of cajones. It appears I was right. He continued hammering the Obama campaign's absurd attacks on Romney's tenure at Bain Capital. Looks like his vacation served him well.
- Contrary to what Eric Holder and Democrats are telling us, voter ID laws actually increase voter turnout. It happened in Georgia. Yet, Eric Holder's Justice Department tried---unsuccessfully---to stop Florida from removing almost 200,000 non-citizens from their voting roles. He continues to fight back voter ID laws in other states. Even the bi-partisan Commission on Federal Election Reform recommended that states should use their best efforts to obtain proof of citizenship before registering voters. By the way, former Pres. Jimmy Carter was a co-chair of that commission.
- There's only one reason the Obama administration and Holder's Justice Department are doing this and it's political. They are hoping they get more minority turnouts in battlefield states such as Florida, NC and several others regardless of their citizenship status.
- There's also a number of underlying problems I see that I believe are arising not only because of the poor economy, but also because of overall poor leadership in Washington. Just this week, we've seen yet another city file for bankruptcy in California. In NYC, crime is once again on the rise. How bad? This week thugs actually ripped off a gold chain around the neck of a 3-year-old boy while he was sitting in his stroller. To me, it's starting to look like middle to late 1970's America all over again when Jimbo was president. NY Post
- Well, it appears the Obama administration just can't help themselves. The only country in the world that has to deal with terrorism on a regular basis was not invited to attend the Global Counter-Terrorism Forum, a group of 29 countries that met in Spain this week. In fact, our own Undersecretary of State, Maria Otero, didn't even include Israel on a list of terror victims. NY Post Editorial
