Pres. Obama: The Great Pretender Continues To Wear Blinders

Say what you want about ISIS, but they've never lied to you about ISIS...David Burge Tweet

  • I'd never thought I'd live to see that day when an American administration appropriates the narrative of our enemies. Not only does this administration refuse to identify the enemy {as he did at that "extremism" summit yesterday}, but they also believe all those young Islamist lunatics need is a jobs program. In case you missed it, Marie Harf, spokeswoman for the State Department, said just that this week. And then she followed that absurd statement with another absurd statement the following day. She accused her critics of being too stupid to understand what she was suggesting {"It might be too nuanced an argument for some," according to this nitwit}. Of course, it's a difficult argument to understand considering jobs is not the issue for these maniacs. In addition, it's this administration's domestic economic policies that have led to the highest poverty rates in decades as well as over 90M people who have dropped out of the work force. We have millions of Americans who need jobs. For God's sake,  little perspective and common sense would go a long way here.
  • And this reverts back to a piece I wrote several days ago. In short, I made the case unless America leads, no one will. And we have an administration whose leadership failures know no bounds. And within this dangerous environment, even after Islamist beheaded almost two dozen Christians (according to Obama---just Egyptian citizens), even after ISIS cooks a Jordanian pilot, even after Boko Haram continues to kidnap and murder Christians, even after genocide continues to be committed almost on a daily basis, Obama said: "No religion is responsible for terrorism---people are responsible for violence and terrorism." Yet, just two weeks ago at the National Prayer Breakfast, Obama took a step back into ancient history to try to make an argument for moral equivalence when he said: "...Remember that during the Crusades and Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ."
  • This begs the question: Why does this president continue to defend Islamist more than coming to the defense of Christians and Jews? Keep in mind, it was Mr. Obama who said of the recent attack on the Jewish deli in Paris: "...when you've got a bunch of violent, vicious zealots who behead people or randomly shoot a bunch of folks in a deli in Paris." And the worst kept secret in the beltway is Obama's animus toward Israel.
  • Michael Goodwin of the NY Post described this administration's rhetoric and behavior well: "The rot of denial runs deep, and starts at the top."
