Lesson for Chris Christie: Next Time Just Shut Down The National WWII Memorial...David Burge Tweet today
- One would think Republicans would learn an important lesson in today's politics: when you embrace progressives and their enablers in the media, you'll be asking others to pull the daggers out of your back. But they haven't. For example, John McCain and John Boenher still believe you can feed a White Shark while swimming outside of the shark cage. It's the reason they always get bitten. In short, they're stupid.
- John Nolte of Breitbart Tweeted this while Christie was still speaking: "Media wants Christie to stop so they can get on CNN and MSNBC and continue to destroy him."
- Imagine for a moment what is actually making headlines today---closing some lanes on the George Washington Bridge. Now compare that to the countless scandals of the Obama administration in the last 5 years and you can see the absurdity we're witnessing today. It reminds me of a poster I saw some months ago featuring Richard Nixon. Underneath Nixon, the caption read: "By today's standards---I'm not a crook."
- While I don't always agree with Christie, I have to give him some kudos. He fired more staff for their inappropriate---perhaps illegal---conduct in five minutes than Obama has throughout his entire tenure. In fact, if Obama were in Christie's shoes right now, the media would be reporting this as a phony scandal as Obama flies off for another vacation.
- The only thing left now is to watch the media take Christie apart like that uncle you see once a month at Thanksgiving who attacks your turkey and leaves the rest of the family scraps.

I reported on de Blasio's choice for NYC Council Speaker, Melissa Mark-Viverito and her Leftist background. She's the one who lobbied on behalf of five Cuban intelligence agents convicted of spying against the U.S. She also advocated for the leader of the FALN terrorist Puerto Rican group released. Well, she is now the Speaker. I wanted to leave you with what Andrea Peyser of the NY Post wrote this morning:
- "She's in. We're toast. Melissa Mark-Viverito is the Queen of Taxpayer Paid Subsidies. She's also Mayor de Blasio's BFF and kindred spirit, a tax-and-spend hard leftist and bona-fide millionaire who protested with the goons at Occupy Wall Street in 2011, treated herself to a cut-rate house purchased with the help of taxpayers {their money}, and lobbied for the gentle treatment of jailed Cuban spies...And----silly!---she plumb forgot to declare rental income..."
