Jennifer Hudson, Stop Already!; Iowa Caucuses; Pres. Obama's Ideology; Russel Brand & Katy; Egypt Military Storm Pro-Democracy Offices; Hollywood's Badass and King of Cool; Plug In Hybrid Vehicle a Fire Hazard

"Parents Honor Dead Son's Memory By Keeping Up His Awful Blog."  The Onion (note: my parents died years ago)

"Obama's Promises Are Like Kim Kardashian's Failed Wedding Vows."---Mitt Romney (who knew this guy was a comedian?)

  • Someone I'm already getting real sick of seeing in this young New Year? Photos of Jennifer Hudson's weight loss. Please stop. We know. You were a fatty. Now you're not as fat. Enough already.

  • What I found striking about the polls regarding the Iowa Caucuses---41% say they could still be persuaded to change their minds according to the Des Moines Register Poll.

  • Peggy Noonan contends that Newt made Romney a better candidate {"Newt's Gift To Mitt"}. I tend to think she's right.
  • According to Gallup, Pres. Obama is the candidate considered farthest from an average person's ideology in America. On a scale of 1 (being very liberal) to 5 (very conservative), Obama rated a 2.3. The average American is at 3.3. Who do Americans consider closest to the 3.3?----Romney. Michelle Bachmann was rated a 4.
  • How are electric cars considered so good for the environment when half of the electricity generated in this country is generated by burning coal?
  • And remember this blast from the past? The Obama administration gave the Fisker car company over $500 million to build electric cars----in Finland (ABC News). Oh, how can I forget. The NY Times reported two days ago that those Fisker vehicles have been recalled, well, because, they are a fire hazard.
  • Anytime I look at Russel Brand, I ask myself why would any women be interested in his hideous looking man? I'm not surprised they broke up for "irreconcilable differences." I suspect she couldn't reconcile looking at that puss anymore.
  • Did you know the S & P closed out the year at 1,257.60 which is where it ended in 2010? (actually, 1,257.64 in 2010). The Dow closed up 5.53%.
  • The Myth of the Arab Spring continues: Egyptians military forces attacked the offices of pro-democracy groups last week. They also attacked human rights offices.
  • How dangerous is it living in New Orleans? The murder rate is 10 times the national average. USA Today

  • Why Clint Eastwood is a badass.

  • And the coolest actor ever in Hollywood. (Because cool is never having to say you're cool).
