Did Santorum "Jump The Shark?"; Pelosi Proves Once Again: She's A Knucklehead; Religion of Peace Update; What The ObamaCare Debate Is Really All About; Left Already Blaming Right For Trayvon's Death; How Many Deployments Are Just Too Many?; PTSD: Get Rid of the D

This week Pres. Obama will visit the border that separates North from South Korea. Not to be outdone, Gingrich will visit the border that separates KFC from Taco Bell.---Fallon

  • Did Rick Santorum "jump the shark" yesterday. One has to wonder what Rick Santorum was thinking when he suggested another term for Obama would be preferable to electing Romney. He said, "If they're going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of adding a risk of what may be the Etch A Sketch candidate for the future." Yo Rick, then what's the purpose of the GOP primary campaign if it's not to depose Pres. Obama? That's at least the second time Santorum fell into a trap. The first involved the issue of contraception that the White House threw out as a diversion. Santorum grabbed the bait when the issue was really about  religious freedom, not contraception.

  • But Santorum's not the only one that made some absurd claims yesterday. President Obama actually took credit yesterday for the building of the southern portion of the Keystone pipeline (by the way, the southern portion includes Texas and Oklahoma. Last time I looked at the map, those two states don't border Canada) . While in Oklahoma, he also tried to defend the millions in taxpayer's money he poured into Solyndra. He said that program was "not our program, per se." Anytime anyone uses the phrase "per se" to try to defend themselves---they're lying.

  • But the icing on the cake yesterday came from that fake, phony and fraud, Nancy Pelosi.  On the House floor yesterday, this knucklehead said ObamaCare actually guarantees, "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." Hey, perhaps she needs to read the Constitution to know what's in it? (paraphrasing her before ObamaCare was passed when she said, "we have to pass the bill, to see what's in it."). She's really a disturbing human being. But the voters who keep putting her back in office are far more disturbing.

  • I can't go a day without a "Religion of Peace" Update. In one case this week, Al Qaeda accepted responsibility for the murder of an American teacher in Yemen because he was trying "to spread Christianity." And Al Arabya News is reporting that almost 1,000 women have been killed in Pakistan for "honor" or commonly referred to as "honor killings." What constitutes the right to kill a woman by these murdering thugs? It can be as simple as marrying someone without permission or having "illicit" relations whatever the hell that means (and that's why it's vague. The woman has no friggin chance).
  • Next week, The Supremes will devote an astonishing six hours to hearing challenges to ObamaCare. Keep this in mind---whatever you think is wrong with ObamaCare (and I've written about it extensively)---this debate is all about Freedom and Government Over-reach. It's about power and the relationship of government---this government---to its citizens. That's it in a nutshell.
  • Very recently, two black youth were arrested for chasing down a 13 year old white boy on a Kansas City street. The two black youth poured gasoline over the kid and lit him on fire. The black kids also said, "you get what you deserve, white boy." Did you read this story anywhere? And if you did, how long did it last? Did Eric Holder promise an investigation? Just askin'. And before any nitwits take me to task---as I wrote about right after the incident---I believe George Zimmerman, the man who killed Trayvon Martin---acted recklessly from what I heard on those 911 tapes. It's clear he pursued Trayvon even when he was directed not to by the dispatcher. I want him arrested and put on trial. With a trial, more facts will come out.  But the previous story and this one illustrate how the media treats crimes involving race. Both crimes are horrific; yet, the attention each received is different.

  • But the disturbing by-product of this incident is the person who has suddenly interjected himself into the fray as the spokesperson. His photo is above. Question for all the black people in America: is this clown the only black spokesperson you have?
  • And you knew it wouldn't take long for the Progressive Lefties to blame the right. A host on MSNBC already blamed Trayvon's death on Rush Limbaugh and Santorum. (Breitbart). They did the exact same thing when Congresswoman Giffords was shot. We found out later the shooter was allegedly insane.

  • Whatever comes out of the trial of Staff Sgt. Bales, there's one thing the military has to study and try to come up with a finding too: How many deployments can a military man or women handle? And over what period of time? PTSD is a problem. I think answering those questions can also help us deal with the outcomes associated with PTSD.
  • A comment about PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I'm on a mission. I want the defining word "disorder" struck from the description of this syndrome. It's not a "disorder."  It's my opinion the term "disorder" keeps many military personnel from getting help.  It gives many in the public the perception that the person experiencing the stress is some kind of crazed lunatic. It's a diagnosis of a condition. Considering it a "disorder" can also lead to all kinds of mistreatment. For example, studies show that many returning vets exhibit the symptoms of PTSD. However, more longitudinal studies of these vets, found that the initial diagnosis did not take into consideration the normal "readjustment" to civilian life which can exhibit similar symptoms as PTSD. I'm still researching this, but I believe connecting "disorder" to Post Traumatic Stress does not help.
